Read moreDetailsMatt Overton has been a proud Marylander all his life. After graduating from Howard Community College’s Rouse Scholars Program, he attended the University of Maryland, College Park where he received a Bachelor’s degree in American History. Matt was first bitten by the cinephile bug when MoviePass first hit the market. He might have played a part in their bankruptcy, averaging five movies a week on their unlimited plan. Since 2020, Matt has written over 1,200 reviews for each movie he has watched. From classic black and white Japanese cinema, to obscure indie pictures, mainstream Hollywood blockbusters, and the occasional rom-com, Matt lives and breathes the movies.
