Friday, 7:09 PM, CBS.

#2 (30-6) Michigan State vs. #3 (28-6) LSU.

If you like physical play in the interior, this is the game for you. Tom Izzo’s Michigan State’s Spartans are always one of the most physical teams in the country. LSU’s Naz Reid is a very good inside/out player. He is averaging 13.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. The team that controls the boards and gets more points in the paint should win this game.

It is always hard to go against Coach Izzo when both teams are equally matched.

Take MSU in a close contest, 69-65

Friday, 7:29 PM, TBS.

#1 (29-6) North Carolina vs. (28-9) Auburn

This could be the most exciting game in the Sweet 16 round. Both teams want to play at a fast pace and both teams should score over 75 points. The Tigers guards, Bryce Brown and Jared Harper want to push the pace and shoot the three. Against the Kansas Jayhawks, Brown and Harper combined for 43 points.

No matter who plays for Roy Williams at Carolina, the formula is always the same. Push the ball on a miss or make, feed their big men the ball and go inside out with the basketball. Against the Washington Huskies, Luke May had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Coby White has done a tremendous job all year long of running the team from the point guard position and Kenny Williams who had a brief injury, should be ready to play.

I like Carolina 83-77
.

Friday, 9:39 PM, CBS.

#1 (31-5) Duke vs. #4 Va Tech(26-8)

Duke was lucky to beat a very talented and well coached UCF team. The Blue Devils escaped with a 77-76 victory. UCF wasn’t intimidated by Duke and Virginia Tech won’t be either. On February 26th, the Hookies beat Coach K’s team 77-72.

Va Tech averages 74 points per game. Sophomore, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, averages 16.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3,9 assists per game. He is also shooting 47.8% from the floor.

Duke is led by their 3- headed monster. Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish average over 58 points per game and point guard Tre Jones could be the best defensive player in the nation.

Duke needs to get more productivity from their bench.

Duke wins… 74-66

Friday, 9:59 PM, TBS.

#2 (29-6) Kentucky vs. #3 (33-3) Houston

The Cougars have had a magnificent run winning 33 games so far. Kentucky, has been under the radar this season and they still have 29 victories. No one on this Kentucky team is averaging more than 15 points per game, but they have a plethora of talent. Forward, PJ Washington, is averaging 14.8 points and 7 rebounds per game and Guard, Tyler Herro, averages 14.1 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Houston is led by Corey Davis Jr. The Senior guard, is averaging 17.1 points and 3.4 rebounds. Houston has been one of the best teams in the country all season long. Kelvin Sampson
should win the National Coach of the Year.

I like the Cougars in the upset 74-69
