Wisconsin G Nick Boyd was named Big Ten Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Boyd averaged 27.0 points per game and 4.5 assists per game leading Wisconsin to 2 top-10 wins vs Illinois and Michigan State.
Nick Boyd scored 25 points to go along with 5 assists and 0 turnovers in the Badgers’ 92-90 overtime win at Illinois.
Boyd shot 10-of-17 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range, for 29 points in a 92-71 victory over Michigan State.
This is Boyds’ second Player of the Week award.
Boyd is currently averaging 20.6 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, 3.7 assists per game, while shooting 47.9% FG for the Badgers.
Wisconsin is currently 10-4, 5th in the Big Ten with two huge matchups this week Tuesday night February 17 at Ohio State and Sunday February 22 at home vs Iowa.

Illinois G Keaton Wagler earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season.
Wagler averaged 26.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in a pair of games last week on 50% shooting from the field, including 43% from 3-point range.
Wagler scored a game-high 34 points with seven assists in a 92-90 overtime loss to Wisconsin and 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a 71-51 win over Indiana.
Keaton averages 18.6 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, 4.3 assists per game, shooting 46.6% FG and 43.2% 3FG.
Illinois is @ USC February 18 and @ UCLA February 21 this week.
