The game of missed opportunities for both the Green Bay Packers and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mason Crosby and Evan McPherson missed a combine of five field goals in the fourth quarter and overtime before Crosby hit the game-winning field for the Green Bay Packers.
Crosby missed a field goal at 2:12 and then he missed a field goal with 3 seconds left in the fourth quarter and missed another attempt in overtime.
McPherson also missed two fields that could have won the game for the Bengals. McPherson missed a 57-yard field goal and missed a 49-yard field goal. At this point, it seemed like both the teams should just put the game in their quarterback’s hands rather than keep trusting their kickers.
Crosby came into the game having a streak of hitting 27 field goals in a row. However, that streak came to an end this afternoon because he missed three field goals. Despite, Crosby’s frustrations with missing three field goals. He still would manage to make the game-winning field goal. Giving Green Bay a 25-22 victory against the Bengals.
With this victory against the Bengals. The Packers have increased their winning streak to four games giving them a (4-1) record. The Packers have looked like a different team since their week 1 loss against the New Orleans Saints.
Aaron Rogers said that it was just one game and since then Rogers has backed it up on the football field.
Rodgers finished the game with 344 yards passing with two touchdowns. Rodgers also moved into fifth place on the all-time list in passing touchdowns.
Rodgers got help from his teammates Aaron Jones and Devonte Adams. Jones rushed for 103 yards and Adams had 206 receiving yards along with one touchdown.
Joe Burrow played a great overall game and he put his team in a position to win the game. Burrow went toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers who is one of the greatest quarterbacks this game has ever seen.
Burrow finished the game with 281 yards passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Burrow was taken to the hospital as a precaution with a throat contusion after the game. It’s unclear when Burrow suffered the injury.
Burrow briefly went into the medical tent during the second quarter after taking a big hit. Burrow still played every snap in this game.
Ja’Marr chase who is Burrow’s favorite target had a monster game. He finished the game with 159 receiving yards to go along with 1 touchdown.
The Bengals have a (3-2) record with the loss against the Packers. The Bengals are in a tough division with teams such as the Ravens, Browns, and the Steelers.
The Bengals can’t afford to lose games the way they lost to the Packers because of the AFC North division. It’s one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.
The Packers are in the NFC North division which is not a tough division. Teams such as Bears, Vikings, and Lions.
The Packers are one of the best teams in the NFL right now and they have a really good chance at making a Super Bowl run.
The Bengals are a really good football team and they have a chance at making the playoffs. The Cincinnati Bengals last made the playoffs in 2015, when they lost in the Wild Card Round. [pickup_prop id=”13430″]
The Bengals will play the Lions in their next week. How will the Bengals respond coming off a tough loss against the Packers?
The Packers will be on the road next week against a division rival the Chicago Bears. Will the Packers continue their winning streak or will the rookie Justin Fields beat Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers?
