After 9/11, the Patriots won the Super Bowl, marking the beginning of a dynasty. The country was in mourning after the terrorist attacks, but we came together as one to fight against terrorism. As Robert Kraft said after the Patriots won the Super Bowl, “We are all Patriots, and tonight the Patriots are the World Champions.”
A similar sentiment can be expressed in light of the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, who was murdered on a college campus while engaging in a healthy debate with students. This act of violence occurred simply because he held a different opinion, political violence doesn’t belong in this country.
Our country feels broken right now, and it’s important for us to stand united as Patriots in these challenging times.
A win on Sunday for New England would be beneficial for both the team and the country as a whole. Even during tough times and defeats, it’s important to continue working together and supporting your teammates. The Patriots are coming off a challenging loss to the Raiders, where they didn’t utilize their run game effectively. I believe that if they had relied more on Henderson and Stevenson during the rainy game, they might have secured a victory.
Patriots looking for a win on Sunday

On the other hand, the Dolphins are reeling from a dismal loss to the Colts, and Mike McDaniel appears to be on shaky ground as coach. Tyreek Hill seems poised to be traded, and Tua Tagovailoa looks lost. Can the Dolphins bounce back after such a blowout? I think McDaniel may have lost his team, so I doubt it. However, it’s worth noting that the Patriots have not beaten the Dolphins with Tua at quarterback in his career. Hopefully, this Sunday will provide a different outcome.
Josh McDaniels was asked today whether there is too much responsibility on Drake Maye’s shoulders within the offense.
In other words, it’s like a rookie quarterback trying to learn a new system. The team should have hired McDaniels to work with Mayo, but ownership decided to give Mayo no support and essentially wasted an entire season. Now, Vrabel has come in with his own staff, excluding McDaniels, and Mayo is facing growing pains as he adjusts to a new offense—something that could have been addressed last year.
The Patriots have a must-win game on Sunday. Going 0-2 would be tough, especially with matchups against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers coming up. If they lose this week but manage to win against the Panthers in week four, they could be looking at a Sunday night game on October 5th against the Bills, potentially sitting at 1-4. It’s crucial for the Patriots to be 2-2 heading into October.
