Boston Celtics Win NBA Championship

The Boston Celtics are world champions. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can play together to win a championship. As the Celtics raise banner 18 they become the franchise with the most NBA titles. Brad Stevens trading away Marcus Smart was the best thing he did for this franchise and getting Jrue Holiday. Holiday, is a tremendous role player and it proves that Smart was in the way. Jaylen Brown has a great postseason and his Finals MVP was well deserved. He could be the leader now that Smart was gone and the voice while Tatum also fit in. The J’s did it and the pressure is off.

Boston Celtics Won When It Mattered The Most

The Boston Celtics are also no longer the Buffalo Bills of the NBA. The Celtics proved they could win and close out the season with a championship. The Celtics are so loaded what Brad Stevens did is something Danny Angie didn’t do. Trade players to get over the hump. The Celtics fans that wanted to keep Marcus Smart do you still want him?

You do have to give credit to Mazzulla too. Having won in high school he knew what it took to win a championship. I do think any coach could’ve done what Mazzulla did because the team was so loaded. There was zero excuse for the Celtics to not win the whole thing.

It means the world,” Tatum said on stage after the team received the trophy from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. “It’s been a long time. And damn I’m grateful.”

MVP of the Finals Jaylen Brown said this

I share this with my brothers and my partner in crime Jayson Tatum,” Brown said.

Both Tatum and Brown got a lot of heat in recent years. Really since they both came into the league. Years and years of criticism and rightfully so. Now, can be pushed to the side as Brad Stevens did enough last summer to add pieces to win a championship.

These last seven years have been a roller coaster, up and down,” Tatum told reporters following Boston’s title-clinching Game 5 win at home Monday. “I had to listen to all the shit that people said about me. And tonight, it was worth it.”

Boston now has 13 championships since 2001. The Celtics should be able to win more championships now they got this one out of the way. They are a young talented deep team that can play together. They put their egos aside and share the basketball and play as a team. They dominated the entire season and this is the result they got.
