The Ravens appear to be at a standstill. This past Sunday, they lost to the Los Angeles Rams 17-3. Although some key players returned, Cooper Rush was handed the starting quarterback position, and the offense couldn’t find its rhythm, while Derrick Henry seemed to reset with over 100 yards rushing. The Rams left points on the field, and some will say the defense showed some improvement. Here are the takeaways from Sunday’s game!

Boy, Lamar Jackson is not fixing these problems!
The Ravens have scored only thirteen points…. Who has been the starter? Cooper Rush, which, in fairness, is not a system for his style of play. Rush was benched in the fourth quarter for Tyler Huntley. Jackson should be ready to go against the Chicago Bears on the 26th. Right now, this offense can be best described as a house that is beautifully constructed on the outside; however, inside, it is dealing with multiple issues, such as HVAC and plumbing.

Two Mark Andrews tush pushes at the goal line? What was that? Then going for it on fourth down? The same effect against the Lions two weeks ago. The Ravens’ offensive line has looked horrendous in one-on-one battles. Coach Harbaugh once again has refused to make any changes. It is showing in short-yard situations and even with those I-Form Power formations. Patrick Ricard’s absence should not have this much impact. It is the fundamentals that seemed to be, as former OL line coach Joe D’Alessandris emphasized. Maybe this group needs more time. Time will tell.
The discrepancy in having turnovers and the inability to finish.
This game was tied three a piece. The Ravens did not finish with a drive that showed promise. The reality is that the Ravens have one win for two reasons.
1.) As a team, there have to be ways to finish drives.
2.) Trust your playmakers.
This team has ten turnovers and one game with three takeaways within these six games.
The Ravens are officially in their bye week. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to regroup. Will there be trade? Will there be lineup changes? Six weeks ago, coming into this season, no one asked for this, ladies and gentlemen. This is going to be a second half for the Baltimore Ravens.
