In Week 9, the Baltimore Ravens had another bad showing as their 2026 season continues to dwindle. For the 3rd straight game, the Baltimore Ravens defense has allowed at least 30 points. Thursday night got worse and worse for the Baltimore Ravens, their fans, and their 2026 season. With both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on the injured reserve list, Baltimore turned to their 3rd string quarterback. It turned into another disappointment against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with a 33-10 loss in Week 9.

On Thursday night, the Baltimore Ravens had to turn to undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano with no other option. Fagnano struggled tremendously against the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense in the rain. He completed 10 of 18 passes for just 60 yards, along with 2 interceptions. He finished with a quarterback rating of just 14.0 in the loss, as he struggled in the rain. On the night, Joe Fagnano was in a tough spot because of injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.
Despite a rough passing night, the running game was the offense’s only bright spot on Thursday night. The running attack totaled 172 rushing yards and scored the Ravens’ only touchdown of the night, by Justice Hill.
The defense, meanwhile, had a disappointing night, giving up 33 points to the Jacksonville offense. This is the 1st time in franchise history the Baltimore Ravens have given up 30 points in 3 consecutive games. On the night, the defense allowed 319 total yards and 3 touchdowns to the Jacksonville Jaguars offense and company.
The run defense had a decent night despite giving up 2 touchdowns, holding the Jacksonville run attack to 77 yards. But the pass defense was a different story, giving up 242 yards of passing yards, which doomed them from the start. And those plays led the Baltimore Ravens to their 3 straight defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, meanwhile, dominated from start to finish in a convincing win over the Baltimore Ravens. QB Trevor Lawrence had a solid game, throwing for 242 yards on 16 completions on 26 attempts in the rain. He threw for 1 touchdown on a 50-yard pass play to wide receiver Parker Washington late in the 1st half.
The running game also had a good night, with 2 rushing touchdowns by Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez Jr. The only downside was that they were under 100 yards against the Baltimore Ravens’ run defense.
Jacksonville’s defense forced 3 turnovers Thursday night, which turned into 13 points off turnovers against Baltimore. The Jaguars’ defense picked off quarterback Joe Fagnano twice and turned them into six points on two Cam Little field goals. The 2 interceptions by Jacksonville were by cornerbacks Montraic Brown and Jordan Lewis.
With this win, the Jacksonville Jaguars move to 6-2 and are solidly in 1st place in the AFC South. This team is in contention for home-field advantage in November and December. Their next game will be against their AFC South rivals, the Tennessee Titans, in Week 10 and again in Week 12.
The Baltimore Ravens’ season keeps going from bad to worse week to week, with injuries piling up for them. And, with Lamar Jackson potentially out for the season with a thumb injury, the Ravens will look to prepare for 2027. Their next game is another primetime game against the winless Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football in Week 10.
