This Patriots team has quit a month into the season. Bill Belichick now 26-29 since Brady left in 2020 has officially lost control of the football team. The Patriots have been outscored 72-3 in the last two games that is pathetic. The loss probably started this past week when the Belichick brought back J.C. Jackson. Great your trying to replace Christian Gonzalez who was placed on IR. However, you also need help on offense too Bill. JuJu Smth-Schuster has bad knees and the rest of them aren’t number one targets. Instead, the Dolphins go out and trade for a speedy receiver in Chase Claypool while you suck with a bad offensive line and no receivers. But hey the Patriots got Riley Reiff back so that must mean something right?
The Patriots Have Zero Fight In Them
Mac Jones either needs to get traded to a team that will develop him the right way or, Belichick needs to be in a forced retirement and they hire Mayo with an offensive assistant from the Kyle Shanahan/Mike McDaniel offense. O’Brien is fine but they don’t have enough on offense to run his system Mac has no security Blanket. Belichick took that away when he didn’t resign Jakobi Meyers and Mac had to force-feed the ball to Demario Douglas who left the game with an injury. Mac is also trying to force it to DeVante Parker but he can’t make a play either.
It doesn’t Matter who the Quarterback is for the Patriots
Message to Patriots fans it doesn’t matter who the quarterback of the Patriots team they will suck regardless. The team can’t block and no receivers that can run the offense. Every single quarterback in the league has a receiver they can rely on except Mac Jones. Going into the season I thought it would be Kendrick Bourne but he isn’t the number one Mac can go to. It got so bad the quarterbacks were throwing to Ty Montgomery a third-string running back. Fans have been spoiled by Brady covering up what Belichick didn’t do on offense over the years. Now it’s been exposed since Brady left.
Belichick should’ve invested into the offensive side of the ball but his ego got in the way and he thought he could still win his way. Nope, now he’s about to have another losing season since 2020 and has failed a first-round quarterback he didn’t want in the first place.
I feel like there is zero fight with this team. The emotion on the sideline is zero and everyone just seems to be in an “oh well we suck anyway” mindset. The emotion I heard from David Andrews and Hunter Henry after the game though showed some emotion and Henry didn’t want to get into the vibe of the locker-room after the game other than it wasn’t good.
Mac Jones has quit. I think he knows this team isn’t good enough and Belichick hasn’t put the pieces around him to succeed. But he signs and drafts players for defense and special teams that miss field goals. Mac’s tone after the game was different from Henry and Andrews it was more “No big deal we suck anyway look what I’ve been given.” That was the tone I heard from Mac after the game. If you’re at that point already a month into the season then it’s pointless and the season will drag forever. Belichick said they have to start over at the end of the game. They need to start over as head coach because Mac Jones has lost all faith in Belichick and the game has passed him by. Or trade Mac Jones to a team with a young offensive-minded head coach that will get talent around him because Bill won’t do it.
