Braeden Carrington Spotlight

Wisconsin G Braeden Carrington has emerged as one of Wisconsin’s most impactful bench weapons, giving the Badgers efficient defense, scoring, elite three‑point shooting, and momentum‑shifting energy during their mid‑season surge.
Braeden Carrington has been explosive scoring off the bench, recently poured in 17 points in just 16 minutes vs. Penn State, hitting 4-of-6 from three.
Carrington had a clutch performance in Wisconsin’s upset win at then #2 Michigan with late free throws, and then hit seven threes in a rivalry win at Minnesota.
During Wisconsin’s five‑game winning streak, Carrington averaged 11 PPG while shooting 50% from three, helping fuel the nation’s most efficient offense in that span.
His three‑point percentage has jumped to 43.8%, more than 10% higher than any previous season.
Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard spoke about Carrington understanding his role within the team and how he’s grown into the role.
Gard described Carrington as energetic with versatility that can be trusted in big moments.
Gard has leaned on Carringtonin late‑game situations, especially during the Michigan and Minnesota wins.
His length and athleticism allow him to guard multiple positions while providing instant offense.
For the remainder of the season with Wisconsin pushing toward the top of the Big Ten, Carrington’s ability to swing games off the bench is increasingly valuable.
Expect Carrington’s minutes to continue climbing, especially in matchups where shooting and perimeter defense are at a premium.
If his efficiency holds, he could push for Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year.
Carrington recent performances and statistical jump strongly suggest he’ll remain a key rotation player with growing responsibility as the season progresses in conference play.
