Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks: Preview

The Toronto Raptors will travel to Milwaukee on Wednesday to play the first game of their Eastern Conference Finals matchup.
For the first time in 8 years, a LeBron James team, won’t be playing in the Eastern Finals.

Kawhi Leonard hit the biggest shot in Canada’s history on Sunday night. The Former San Antonio Spurs scored 40 points in Game 7, as Toronto defeated the Philadelphia 76ers. Pascal Siakam started the playoffs playing great, but he has been reduced to a good player over the past 3 or 4 games. Siakam is averaging 20 points per game and Leonard is averaging 31.8 during the playoffs. Kyle Lowry may be the most overrated point guard in the NBA. He is only averaging 12.4 points and 7 assists. Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka and Danny Green are averaging 25 points between the three of them. They must all step up their offensive output if they want to get to the NBA Finals.

Milwaukee Bucks:

In my lifetime, there have been 4 NBA Players who physically dominated the game because of their size and strength.

Moses Malone.
Shaquille O’Neal.
LeBron James and …
Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The man they call,“The Greek Freak” has been the MVP of the league in the regular season and the postseason. Giannis is averaging 27.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.2 assists and 1.6 blocks per game. Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe are scoring 35 points between the two of them over the last 9 games. George Hill and Nikola Mirotic have been great acquisitions late in the year. Malcolm Brogdon should be able to play 15 to 20 minutes a game after missing the last 2 months of the season with an injury.

Prediction:

Many experts had Milwaukee beating the Boston Celtics. But, no one had them winning in 5 games or 4 straight. They dominated a veteran Celtics team who knew how to win.

It was almost as if no one (other than KL) on Toronto wanted to take the big shot in Game 7 against the 76ers. Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmpo will cancel each other out. I expect both of them to average 25 points per game during the series. The big difference will be the surrounding players. If you don’t know Middleton or Mirotic you will after this series. The Bucks have too much fire power on offense for Toronto. No team can limit the Milwaukee’s offense for more than a game or two.

Milwaukee wins this Series in 6 games.
