The Patriots bad offense in 2022 has put them behind teams in offensive rankings. The Patriots rank 25th in quarterback rooms according to Warren Sharp of ESPN. That solely is because of Bill Belichick, Matt Patricia, and Joe Judge. If you gave Mac Jones a real offensive coordinator, not some friends that never coached the position and getting paid by other teams the ranking would be higher. They also rank 103 in the number of drives ending in a punt or turnover in 2022. Again, solely to blame is Belichick, Patricia, and Judge. Nobody else. I don’t care about the antics of the quarterback on national TV he had every right to be pissed.

Mac Jones was ranked 17th in 2021 with Josh McDaniels in quarterback rankings. But with those two clowns, he obviously regressed.
I really don’t understand why there are some when Belichick kicked Brady out the door people were on Brady’s side rightfully so. But when Mac Jones was pissed during games last season with Patricia and Judge people are on team Belichick because Mac Jones just got here.
Doesn’t matter if Mac had been in his second season or not, both were wrong. If you are mad at Belichick for kicking Brady out the door too early then you should be mad at Belichick for giving a defensive coordinator and a special teams coach to Mac Jones and the offense. Mac Jones will never be Brady but he had every right to be pissed.
The offense will be better and we’ll see firsthand in training camp starting next week. Bill O’Brien has brought a normalcy to the offense and it’s already miles ahead of where it was a year ago. You have a clear indication of who the starting quarterback is no matter what the radio says. Kendrick Bourne will be probably the number one receiver and you’ll see that in camp in my opinion.
The Patriots quarterback room is in the middle of the pack with a real offensive coordinator. That was a fact in 2021 if you put a real offensive coordinator in 2022 maybe they move closer to 10. But because Belichick thought it was a great idea to not do that they now find themselves towards the bottom. Blame Belichick because we all know Jones can play. Kraft wants to see Jones succeed that’s why Kraft himself hired Bill O’Brien with full cooperation from Belichick.
Kendrick Bourne spoke during minicamp about how O’Brien knows what he’s doing and the losers last year didn’t.
I expect the offense to be functional and more smooth than last year. The question still remains on the offensive line though but that to me is the only one. The playmakers are good and O’Brien does well with a two-tight end set.
