No matter the season of The Chi, there has to be a bad guy or woman. For Season 8, that title has to shift towards Tiff. With Alicia gone and the question looming of whether Tiff signed the papers, there’s a good chance that Tiff is the beneficiary of everything that Alicia left behind.
If this is indeed true, then Tiff is set to torch the streets of Chicago in revenge mode. Not so much in terms of doing it for Alicia, this is about Rob and Emmett. The secret is out on who shot Emmett; however, Reg has been in hiding. And with now having the means to make certain moves, she could very well sit atop Alicia’s old empire and everything that comes with that.
For starters, Tiff may have a slight idea that it was Nuck who killed Rob. But if she does, she’s playing it smart. She has given him no reason to believe that she’s on to him, and Tiff is still street-smart and could be playing the long game. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
With money at her disposal, Tiff may be finally ready to make her move. She can take out Nuck, but she can also do something that Alicia couldn’t, and that is to become the Queen of Chicago. In past seasons, that title has been bestowed upon the men. From Q to Douda and then to Nuck. What we haven’t seen on The Chi yet is a woman holding all the cards. Tiff could very well be the first. Think about it, what else does she have to lose?
Her boyfriend is dead. His mother is dead, her ex-husband is about to be married to her best friend, and by all accounts, Tiff is not being mentioned in the Mother of the Year Race. She would be the perfect person to take over the streets.
If she is looking for a man to have by her side when she does it, then Vic fits that bill. The truth is, Nuck would be the perfect person, but his hands are too dirty, and when the truth comes out regarding his involvement with Rob’s death, he’s definitely out of the running.
Like most characters on The Chi, Tiff knows the streets. She understands business and is street-smart. She has a way about her where she can talk her way into or out of anything. However, one thing the writers have yet to have her face is revenge. Yes, she wants Rob’s killer dealt with, but with Alicia dead, she will feel that pain and urge tenfold.
Season 8 is sure to be a challenge for her with a new baby and all. Her mother is still around, but Tiff has been on her own for much of the show. Who will she turn to now for guidance? Jada is no longer around, and while she has a close relationship with Keisha, there have been cracks in that as well. She might be on her own to a certain degree.
Alicia made a good female villain, but she didn’t have what Tiff has. Chicago knows Tiffany, and Tiffany knows Chicago. She has friends, and now she has money and a motive to take anyone out who gets in her way.
