The Bachelor: Drama Party Of One

Hello all! The Bachelor is back, and so am I with my thoughts weekly. We are now down to 7 ladies hoping to claim Grant as their fiance. When not jumping off bridges or buildings, Grant is in the middle of his journey. He seems like a straight-up guy with good intentions.  As with every season he has already sent home some ladies I really liked and kept ones I wanted to throw the remote at but that’s how this show has lasted 29 seasons right?

This past week kept me guessing what would happen next as we saw Rose go home since she felt that the issues with Carolina and her had set back any chance she had with Grant. While I understand where she was coming from, I would have stayed and fought for it a bit more. Taking place in Spain which is a gorgeous country the date with Diana got a day in the city with Grant as her date and it looked like a lot of fun as they shared more about themselves and seemed to hit it off really well. I did find them having the same wish super corny, along with how shocked Grant was with her being a successful independent woman with a LinkedIn page. What type of ladies have you dated in the past? Figured she would have a lot to say about that but instead, we got them in a row boat. She shares that she is one of 11 kids so it makes sense she is use to having a plan for things and not just going with the flow. The two of them seem to work time will tell, but I now like Diana a bit more.,

Back at the hotel Carolina is doing what she does crying about what she likes or doesn’t like and the process of the show. By now all the girls have had enough of her and are over it. I just knew the second 1-on-1 date would be Juliana I was wrong. The group date was different and ended with the ladies riding a mechanical bull which was fun to watch them fly off. And the look from Carolina when Litia steals a quick kiss from Grant this girl is wild man. Little did we know this was just the start of her taking over the show.

You did my girl Parisa dirty Grant giving her rocks and making her think it was a “moment” only to send her home. Rose and Grant chatted if you can call it that and tried to find common ground, it didn’t happen she got in her feelings and went home. I found the whole thing to be very lame. Zoe had me in tears sharing her backstory and how she grew up. Grant tried to be sensitive in the moment but it came off rough and like he was reading from a script. Sarafiena had the second solo date and I don’t see any sparks between her and Grant at all but he is the one on the show, not me and she got a rose.

At the cocktail party/ rose ceremony you could cut the tension with a knife and Grant felt that as he pulled Juliana and of course Carolina to the side to get the low down. I was just happy to see them say something to Carolina and let her know how they feel with her “thinking out loud”  habit and sounding ungrateful. She turns it into an “I’m serious about this, that’s why I have doubts” theme and it works for now. With her stealing so much time from others, you have to think the drama is not over yet.
