Mondays are just better when we have football or The Bachelor! The second episode gave us a lot in terms of getting to know these ladies better and our Bachelor Joey. This was the first week that we got to see group dates and our first 1 on 1 of the season and it was full of juicy drama and some laugh-out-loud moments.
Group Date 1:
So as we see in every season the ladies had the chance to grab a wedding dress which was hilarious to watch in itself and go to their reception. A chance for Joey to see how they would handle it and if “the one” would stand out and grab his attention. Off the break, Lauren was in her feelings but for good reason, as hearing the other girls talk about having their dads on their wedding day was important. She just lost her father so the comments hit her hard and ruined the day for her without question. They played a game of bridal musical chairs which ended with me spitting my wine across the room when Evalin leaped OVER the table trying to grab the seat next to Joey and knocked over everything it was too funny. Not to be forgotten Jess grabbed some FaceTime and a kiss, how she keeps getting in front of Joey is a mystery. But, the person who stole the show was without a doubt Rachel her toast was so good and as a reward she got a special dance with Joey as the song was performed by Michael Bolton. They got back to the house and Maria who thinks bras are evil grabbed Joey for a bit, now I have to admit the white mini she had on was kind of hot, but she disagreed. She says she wants to change into something more comfortable and comes out in a lace number with her boobs popped out and showing some skin. Joey is in full drool mode, and the two share a few kisses. Is this her plan to win? More on her later.
As if that was enough the night had much more in store for fans like me, the 1-on-1 date was with Daisy America’s newest sweetheart the producers are so bad sending this poor girl on a helicopter ride to a loud concert, where she got VIP treatment standing by the speakers. WHY?! She has a Cochlear implant! The whole time she would say huh, or What did you say? I just knew this would make Joey mad and ruin the date. WRONG! Who is this man, and what lab created him? He was super chill about it and they seemed to have had a great time, finally at dinner Daisy broke the news and explained everything to him. His response was to be BEYOND cool about it and was inspired by it all and didn’t notice her asking him to repeat himself on the date. Can I put Joey in layaway or start a payment plan? At that point, I was thinking paly the credits season is over and let’s plan the wedding, the whole thing was epic. One group date and 1 on 1 down 1 group date to go.
Group Date 2:
Two contestants from the past lead the charge as the ladies play a wild game of paintball/capture the flag and hands down Edwina owns it. So did Joey so she earned extra time with him and when it was announced you could hear a pin drop so much hate. She opens up on the date about her upbringing and also showcases the best skin I have ever seen in my life. I have a 4K TV and she looked AMAZING. Meanwhile, the dumbest fight ever was brewing, it started with Madina saying that at age 31 she feels like her time is running out and she has to get time with Joey. I am sorry did I miss the announcement that 31 was now considered old? So after hearing that Maria is talking to some of the group and says she doesn’t agree with the statement and that Joey probably loves that, it also might give Madina an advantage. It turned into a big thing when Maria tries to talk with Madina she gets shut down and the caddy BS continues. It never really gets solved and does it matter anyway?
The Bachelor’s Final Thoughts:
Lauren threw in the towel and some cake as she went home as he should Joey seemed to not be bothered by it. Lauren was too much and having her go is a good thing. Jess also lets it be known she is coming off a relationship where she was cheated on and she has been crushed since it happened. It took a long time to build herself back up and that is why is always so hyped about everything. I still do not like her but anyway. 18 ladies remain with Erika, Taylor, and Marlena all getting the boot. Overall it was a 5 out of 10 episode for me which tells me next week will be a doozy.
