Breeze was revealed in the Season 4 finale of Raising Kanan. But a few things caught my attention in just that one episode. What will happen to Unique, Snaps, and Pops?
The matching dressed couple tells Kanan and Breeze that this is to be a three-headed crew composed of Kanan, Breeze, and Unique. Both appeared to be onboard with that. However, when Breeze asked what was up with Unique, Snaps implied that Unique won’t be around too long, which caught Kanan’s attention.
Now, as we know, Breeze was a character OG Power fans have been waiting to meet. But what we did not know was that he was related to Snaps and Pops. That changes things and makes this more eventful.
It was mentioned that Kanan, Ghost, and Tommy worked for and with Breeze. Maybe something went wrong or maybe that was just the case of early storytelling in the OG show with no intention of doing a Raising Kanan spinoff.
The importance of Kanan and Ghost working for Breeze is vital to all of the Power shows but that means there is a gap somewhere in the story. At no point in the original Power was Snaps and Pops ever mentioned. Hell, now that I’m thinking about, neither was Unique. What happened to them?
They have power and money. There is no way that two big figures in Queens would go unmentioned. Maybe they retired and gave everything to Kanan and Breeze to run, then came along Ghost and we all know what happened there. He took over everything.
Or, what if Kanan found out the truth about what happened to Famous and Krystal and decided they needed to go. If that’s the truth, how did he hide that from Breeze?
Kanan said that Ghost killed Breeze. Maybe Breeze was set to snitch on Ghost or Kanan for killing Snaps and Pops, and that’s what Ghost meant when he told Tariq he tried to give Breeze one more chance to change his mind, and he didn’t.
We also know that Kanan went to prison. What if Ghost dropped the dime that he killed them and that’s how Kanan got jammed up?
It’s clear that Kanan, Breeze, and Ghost were close, but what the hell happened to Unique? Did one of them kill Unique? With Kanan and Breeze teaming up and with the backing of Snaps and Pops, it’s quite possible they did take Unique out of the equation. He’s not one to work well with others. He wants to be the King, even if that means taking the crown from Snaps, Pops, Breeze, or even Kanan.
Raq and the Italians have been a major force in Raising Kanan but as we seen in Season 4, the real power is in the hands of Pops and Snaps. But it still begs the question of the storytelling in OG Power. The past is all they talked about and yet, no one ever mentions Pops, Snaps, or Unique.
