I LOVE Coffee! Had to get that out of the way early before it got lost in the article, so of course, I was very excited to get my hands on a couple of cans of Projo Power Coffee.
To be able to get the best of both worlds, the great taste of coffee, and also that much-needed boost of energy. As a full-time restaurant manager and owner of Team NBS, I stay busy and am always on the go. This sounded like what I had been missing in my routine and wasn’t full of sugar and other bad things for my health.
First off, each drink packs a PUNCH with 225 MG of caffeine that adds up to almost 3 cups of coffee. For the people watching those calories, it comes in at 130, while also providing 25G of protein. If you have lactose issues, have no fear, since it is lactose-free. It comes in 3 flavors: Vanilla Latte, Mocha Latte, and Latte, a little something for everyone
Now onto the tasing and reactions! I didn’t want to do this myself, so I got the help of other Team NBS members and friends. We busted out some cups and got right into it with finding out if this beverage is one we want to start scooping up once it’s on sale
First up was the Mocha Latte, which we all agreed had a strong chocolate taste and a bit of coffee on the back end. I did not care for it, but Olivia said it was the type of drink she would love early in the morning or a mid-day pick-me-up. She is also lactose intolerant and has a hard time finding GOOD drinks. John wasn’t a fan either, as he wanted a dark, rich chocolate flavor. All in all, we gave it 3 cups of Joe out of 5.
Next, we had the Vanilla Latte; now this was a treat to be a part of, seeing everyone’s face after that first sip. We all LOVED it, the taste is perfect, a balance of flavors as if it came from that place with the green and white logo. John, who doesn’t even drink coffee, said, “If more coffee tasted like this, I would drink it.” And he was disappointed we didn’t have another can. I thought it was delicious and also got some pep in my step to push through the midday tasks. No one I know drinks as much coffee as our new NHL writer Will Brown, who, after his first sip, asked where he could buy this and when. It was only right that we give him the biggest sample. Everyone was dying laughing when he said, “This is F’ing fantastic, where did we find this?” When he wasn’t jumping around the office, he was talking about the drink and wanting to get his hands on more.
Overall, I am very excited for this product to drop in October. It is not bad for you, has a lot of what people on the go want. Good energy, protein, and good taste add the lactose-free factor, and you have a winner. I want to thank the good folks over at Projo for letting us give this fresh new product a try.
