Philadelphia Eagles Week 17 Recap

By: Julio Olmo

Jake Elliott put the Philadelphia Eagles on the board first with a field goal 3-0 and that was all of the scoring after the first quarter ended.

Philadelphia has to make some serious changes in the offseason.

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley came into this contest needing less than 100 yards in order to reach 1,000 yards for the season and Saquon had 80+ plus yards by halftime.

Allowing the New York Giants to hang around 10-3 at halftime, could have proven to be disastrous, just ask any Ohio State Buckeyes fan about their recent experience in the College Football Playoffs.

The final push for the playoffs was on, and since the Football Gods have allowed Carson Wentz to finish the season healthy, be forewarned the Philadelphia Eagles are going be a Tough Out.

Why the won?

Fletcher Cox recovered a fumble by the New York Giants and Boston Scott ran the football right up the middle for a touchdown in their next offensive series, giving the Eagles a 10 point lead – and much needed breathing room in the 4th quarter.

The Philadelphia Eagles are the only team in NFL history with a 4,000 yard-plus passer and ZERO wide receivers with 500-plus receiving yards.

A classic case of having to play the hand, which you were dealt.

At the present moment, Carson Wentz has to be like…

“I’m keeping a list of everyone who has wrong me!”

Next opponent?

Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks are not some unbeatable juggernaut. Their biggest win came by 17 points against the Arizona Cardinals and their other victories — including two overtime games — have been within one score.
