For the third consecutive week, the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense allowed a trick play touchdown.

The fact that it was a punter throwing the pass to a kicker had every television announcing crew laughing on air, while the highlight was being broadcast.

My generation and ones before mine, did not care much for the way Nick Foles was Shown The Door by the organization and that Doug Pederson was the driving force behind most of it.

It was confided that basically St. Nick was open to some creative contractual-accounting in order to stay in Philly, but such an offer was never made.

The reality is last time Nick Foles tested free agency, it was not a pleasurable experience at all and viewing his current situation in Jacksonville, it is safe to assume that it’s not going to go well once again.

Since I, Bleed The Colors, ultimately I  just had to accept it and stand behind the only Philadelphia Eagles’ head coach, who has brought Super Bowl glory to the franchise, but the “Gig Is Up” now.

Doug Pederson calling the now 3-9, Miami Dolphins a “Good Team” in order to set-up another excuse for the Eagles’ latest meltdown is just sad.

Plus at this point – deserved or not! Carson Wentz is getting hammered publicly, he was put on position to take the hits and he’s taking all of them.

The “Super Bowl Hangover” was visible previous season, but it’s painfully evident now.

Orlando Scandrick touched on the subject earlier this season and his comments were met with outrage by the organization, but in today’s current political climate, accusations should not be dismissed and categorized as simple “Witch Hunts”.

Why they lost?

The Miami offense came to play, they went toe-to-toe with Philadelphia and eventually pushed past them, taking the win. Rookie head coach, Brian Flores gambled and twice opted not to kick on fourth downs.

Doug Pederson game plan against Miami was to have Carson Wentz throw the football and he did bounce back from a poor performance versus the Seattle Seahawks the previous week by completing 28-of-46 passes for 310 yards with a touchdown and an interception, but the Eagles’ pass defense struggled – and that’s an understatement!

The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense surrendered a 14-point lead. Cornerbacks Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills were repeatedly burned and gave up two scores.

Players of the game?

DeVante Parker.

Devante had career day and made two acrobatic catches for touchdowns.

Up Next?

December 9th against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
