Well, that sucked. Penn State took another one on the chin at home as Michigan legit ran all over them and left with a 24-15 win, with that came social media and fans screaming for everyone to go and blow it all up. I was just disappointed in the game overall I wanted so much better effort and of course outcome. Sitting at 8-2 with two games to go the 10-win season is right in front of us to grab if we play our brand of ball. As a glass-half-full type of girl, I refuse to call the season a failure when I know damn well D-1 programs would kill to get 8 wins. And I think no one put things in the right light this week better than former PSU All-American LaVar Arrington.
“He’s lost two games all year, and his two losses this year were to teams ranked number 3 at the time. The people that are saying to fire him sound like frickin morons.”

On Now To Rutgers:
A few weeks ago, they gave Ohio State a real scare but couldn’t stop the legend known as Marvin Harrison Jr. Their QB is all, or nothing type and that should play into the hands of the defense. A strong pass rush will force him to let the ball go before he wants to and he can run when he has to with over 400 yards and 7 touchdowns. They also have a very decent running back in Kyle Monangai who has shown he is more than capable of getting it done on the ground. He had a great game against the Buckeyes so he can’t be overlooked. The O-Line is made to look better than it is with the way Gavin Wimsatt runs around and creates plays. This is not the deepest or most talented WR group we have faced, but they understand the assignment and are decent. In the perfect world, we make him drop back and ton and have the rush tee off.
It’s a good thing we get to practice against our own defense all the time because Rutgers has a pretty good unit and they travel. Ranking in the top 20 in multiple categories. So looking in the mirror on offense take a page from the Wolverines and RUN THE BALL getting into 3rd and shorts and not having to throw the ball on every down. If there was a game for us to unleash our RB duo this is it and that’s Big 10 football. Owning the trenches on both sides would make this an easy game to get win number 9.
Prediction:
A Penn State WIN! Ha, this is one of those games where the backups should see plenty of playing time and get a shot to put some stuff on tape. The only way this game is tight is if we don’t come out swinging and allow Rutgers to hang around. Let’s send the seniors off on the right note and line up for a New Year’s Eve 6 bowl game. Is this what we wanted this season? No, but this is where we are and we might as well make the most of it. Right the ship and handle business at home. Up next Michigan State #WeAre
