Mac Jones can finally be free and happy in Jacksonville after Bill Belichick failed him the last two seasons. Plus, the Patriots fans are a disgrace after chanting for arrogant Bailey Zappe in the 2022 game against the Bears. It was the right thing for Mac Jones to move on because one mistake here the spoiled fans would be chanting for Zappe or the rookie. Mac Jones will be behind Trevor Lawrence and try to compete for the starting job in 2025. The Jaguars have until May to pick up Trevor’s fifth-year option. If not he will become a free agent after the 2024 season. So will Mac Jones but this gives him an opportunity to rehab his career with an offensive-minded head coach.
Mac Jones Can Be Happy And Free In Jacksonville
Here is what Mac Jones said at his press conference playing for offensive-minded coaches. Not like the defensive coach who turned offensive coordinator in New England.
Mac Jones also said this week he can tell people he’s a rapper because he’s not in New England anymore. Belichick was too much of a hard-ass like Eliot Wolf said there’s less of the hard-ass vibe in New England now. But, again after how that fan base has treated him I don’t blame him for wanting a fresh start somewhere else.
As Mac Jones looks to rehab his career in Jacksonville he really has more talent and coaching around than he had the last two years in New England. The side shots from Mac Jones to Belichick and how he ran things will keep coming. Especially if he rebounds his career and becomes great and the Patriots get it right with either Drake Maye or JJ McCarthy.
