INSiiGHTS is a community success story based in Tallahassee, Florida.
The idea was formed and created to enhance sports stories to give an insightful view of inside occurrences.
The brain thrust behind the concept is former collegiate basketball coach and administrator, Mickey Clayton.
Coach Clayton a 1975 Florida A&M University graduate enlisted the help of some of his friends to develop the sports talk show that has now evolved into a local high school sports production that recently telecast their 100th television show on WCTV2.
All of INSiiGHTS shows featuring over 200 high school games can be found on the INSiiGHTS’ YouTube page where all the games and live-streams can be found and are free.
INSiiGHTS Sports is a local company that concentrates on programs in the South Georgia and North Florida region.
It is an example the vision of Mickey Clayton, collaborating with Gerald Tookes, Clayton Smith, Alvin Hollins, Jeff Walker and Sharon Bee (all from the Tallahassee, Florida area) to forge what is currently Florida’s longest running high school sports television show.
The support of local television entity, WCTV2 has been critical in providing an opportunity for the start-up company to host their content.
Local sponsors have bought into the idea of supporting the events that feature the high school students and programs.
Cumulus Media Radio as a part of the community has always assisted with the promotion of INSiiGHTS events that recognize and support the high school and middle school students.
INSiiGHTS has their Third Annual Dr. Arthur Woodard Academic Student of the Game Award Dinner on May 6th to recognize nearly 35 students and their parents.
The event which it is sponsored by the Woodard Foundation of Miami take great pride in having only one recognition award and that it’s for the student with the Highest Academic Award and community participation selected by the participating high school.
INSiiGHTS continues to give back by the creation of it’s Jimmy Sauls Leadership Academy.
The second year of the Academy that utilizes presenters from the community to speak to high school and middle school students about various topics to guide, inspire and motivate to higher levels of accomplishment.
The Leon County Sheriff Department and Sheriff Walt McNeil along with Tallahassee Northside Kiwanis have been prime supporters of this endeavor to help the youth of the community.
This is a local production that has generated a lot of support from the greater Tallahassee and South Georgia community.
It is an example of a program that shows what a community can do to support use athletics to highlight its students and work to support each other.
