The Patriots pulled off an upset against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. Drake Maye had his moments reminiscent of Patrick Mahomes during the second half, particularly when he connected with Stefon Diggs, who faced his former team. Although the first half was shaky, Maye displayed impressive poise and went toe-to-toe with Josh Allen in the second half. The Patriots have clearly integrated some West Coast-style offense into Josh McDaniels’ system, and it’s been effective; the bootleg plays have worked well for them.
Drake Maye is The Heir Apparent to Tom Brady

I’m sold on Drake Maye—Sunday night was a turning point for him. It’s remarkable what can happen when your young quarterback has a reliable receiver to help him out, rather than having a coach who specializes in defense take charge of the offense without providing proper receiving options. Maye is starting to make something out of nothing, similar to how Mahomes and Brady did in their early years.
Prior to Diggs taking the slot position, Boutte was the one making plays downfield. The Patriots have certainly found their turning point; it’s taken some time, but last night proved they are moving in the right direction. Here are Drake’s thoughts after the game.me time, but last night proved they are moving in the right direction. Here are Drake’s thoughts after the game.
You Can’t Mention Drake Maye or the Patriots At North Carolina
Drake Maye attended the University of North Carolina, but Bill Belichick has prohibited the Patriots’ social media accounts from posting anything about him. They are allowed to feature other NFL players who played at North Carolina, but not Maye. This ban stems from the fact that Maye plays for the team that Belichick was fired from. Additionally, Belichick did not have a favorable opinion of Maye during his college career. If Belichick were still with the New England Patriots, he would have Matt Patricia as his offensive coordinator, and Stefon Diggs would not be a member of the Patriots.
North Carolina has posted about Drake Maye on Monday after a report came out that Belichick did that with the social media team. Whoever posted about Drake Maye on the North Carolina page on Twitter deserves a raise.
Drake Maye and the Patriots Should Win The Next Four Games
Here was Mike Vrabel after the game.
The Patriots still have to clean up the penalties and Stevenson fumbles, but so far, the Patriots are on pace to win the next four games.
