Do people not get it? It doesn’t matter who the quarterback is on Sunday against the Chargers the Patriots aren’t winning the game period. So what when reporters were in the locker room on Wednesday Bailey Zappe was smiling saying he is speaking at the podium Thursday. Also who cares useless JuJu Smith-Schuster called Zappe handsome and had a great Wednesday practice. The team is dysfunctional and ruined Mac Jones mentally and that is the story.
The Patriots are a bleeping mess. When have you ever heard a Bill Belichick team ruin a quarterback so much that the backup is smiling in the locker room after practice saying he will speak with reporters on Thursday. Does Zappe truly think he’s the next Tom Brady or something? Not even close and when he has replaced Mac Jones this year he’s been bad. Nice audible to a throw in double coverage against the Giants game for an interception I’m sure we’ll see more of that Sunday.
A smiling Bailey Zappe enters the locker room and heads off approaching reporters by saying, “I’m going (to the podium) tomorrow.”
A couple of feet away, Juju says when asked about Malik Cunningham, “That’s a dangerous dude right there.”

It’s preseason football from here till the end of the season for the Patriots. They are 2-9. The embarrassment of the football team will end the coaching career of Bill Belichick and possibly Mac Jones which Belichick broke. No Mac shouldn’t start that’s because he’s mentally shattered by the head coach that didn’t want him.
The Patriots Offense Will Not Be Better With Zappe Don’t Be Delusional
The offense won’t be any better on Sunday with Zappe starting. Does Zappe not realize that his being the quarterback after being 2-9 is a last resort? Does he not get that he has nobody to throw to but a washed-up Smith-Schuster and a DeVante Parker? Oh and because Hunter Henry is friends with Mac don’t see him trying on Sunday to play well. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a drop pass. Belichick probably wants a Zappe chat to prove a point to Kraft. But let me tell you the Zappe chants will turn to boo’s after he’s throwing interceptions in the rain.
The Patriots have had countless quarterback transactions this season. Signing a ton of players from the roster to the practice squad, to cutting them. Does Zappe think he made it or something after smiling in the locker room Wednesday with a 2-9? Sorry no you didn’t make it. It’s because the head coach ruined Mac and you the next option. Zappe was cut before the season even began then went to the practice squad. I hope Zappe throws two interceptions and gets benched for Malik Cunningham on Sunday. Maybe that will make him more humble.
This quarterback drama is another example of Belichick losing control of the locker room. You have some of the guys that want Mac out of there and some that want him in there. The better option is he shouldn’t play not because he can’t but again because he is mentally destroyed by Bill Belichick and has PTSD of 2022. Belichick got him Bill O’Brien then went to the clearance rack for wide receivers while getting rid of Jakobi Meyers because he talked badly about the offense. I’m sick of the 2023 Patriots and I don’t think it matters who is the quarterback the rest of the season they won’t win another game.
