During the summer of 2002 and the fall of 2003, I took a trip to Chicago. I saw many attractions in Chicago. Navy Pier, Soldier Field, walked the Magnificent Mile, Lake Michigan, the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Buckingham Fountain.
However, there was one attraction that meant more to me than anything else. That cathedral is located at the intersection of Addison and Clark or Waveland and Sheffield.
Thursday, March 26th, will be the home of the Chicago Cubs for the 110th season. Wrigley Field welcomes the 2026 Chicago Cubs when they face the Washington Nationals.
It will also be the 10-year anniversary of the most recent World Series championship in franchise history. To get the season-long celebration underway, it was announced that Anthony Rizzo will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The game will get going, and in the middle of the 7th, another fun tradition will take place. It will be time for the 7th inning stretch. All the fans will stand and sing, even if they can’t sing, the anthem of baseball. If you don’t know what that is, don’t worry, I will take care of that for you.
Take me out to the Ballgame
Ah one, ah two, ah three, Take me out to the Ballgame, Take me out with the crowd, Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root root for CUBBIES. If they don’t win, it’s a shame. For it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out at the old ballgame.
They will finish the game, hopefully with a top-of-the-9th victory, and all Cubs fans around the world and at the stadium will grab their W flag and belt out another Cubs tradition. It’s time for the victory song. Clark, the mascot, will run out to center field with a big W flag while another W flag is being raised up the flagpole above the scoreboard in center. The team is celebrating a victory and high-fiving teammates, and the sound system is blaring GO CUBS GO. Now it’s time to learn the words, Cubs fans, so you can sing along all season following a Cubs victory

Big Extension
It was announced this past weekend that the Chicago Cubs have signed Pete Crow-Armstrong to a 6-year, $115 million contract extension that will take effect following this upcoming season. This is a great move by the Cubs as they lock up their Centerfielder for the next 7 seasons. If the Cubs can get the Pete Crow Armstrong from the first half last season that earned him an all-star spot, Cubs fans around the world will be ecstatic. Crow- Armstrong can be a 40-40 (home runs-steals) player this year.

Well, Cubs fans, baseball season is here. Let’s cheer our boys in blue on to victory all season long, and let’s get the last out in late October, early November, and have another celebration in Chicago. Talk to you all soon. #flythew #gocubsgo
