What does the future hold for All American Homecoming on the CW Network? Will it be renewed for a 3rd season or will it be canceled? They have somewhat of a plan already in place as most of their scripted series have been given the axe. Well, that may also include All American Homecoming. With news that All-American will be coming back for a 6th season, no one has made a decision on the spinoff. And while the exes are trying to decide the fate of a popular series, fans are sitting on the edge of their seats hoping for a positive outcome.
All American Homecoming ended its second season on a major cliffhanger. Who will Simone Hicks choose, Damon Sims or Orlando? While that has been building since the second half of Season 2, the truth is, we may never get that answer. But that’s not it.
What happened when Coach Turner’s wife showed up at his apartment while he was with Amara? Hell, we didn’t even know that Turner was married. Now we have a newcomer to the cast who may be ready to blow up one of the relationships we actually like on the show. And how can we forget about the big health issue with JR? And will Damon ever find a way to bond with his birth parents? So many storylines still out there and it hurts to know that Homecoming may get canceled.
Is All American Homecoming Canceled
With Thea turning pro, we won’t get to see how all that will play out for her and if she and Damon can somehow reconcile if he’s not chosen by Simone. What about Nate becoming Student Body President at Bringston University? Maybe this wouldn’t be a huge blow if the season didn’t end the way that it did but with so many storylines still in the air, we could very well be getting ready to relive the entire “Empire” situation over again. Like what happened to Cookie and Lucius? Did they live or die?
Two seasons are not enough. All American Homecoming has more stories to tell. College last 4 years so at least give them another two. But this is a business. CW is under new management and as it stands, they want to steer their audience towards more Reality TV shows than scripted.
That’s a huge gamble on their part. While CW has dropped the ball, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be picked up someplace else. But it may be a little hard since both shows are sorta tied together. With All American being granted a limited Season 6 renewal, they will get closure on its characters and storylines. But as it stands now, Homecoming may suffer the same fate as so many other good TV shows.
