In no surprising news, AJ Brown landed in New England and will become a Patriot, with Mike Vrabel trading a first-round pick in 2028 and a fifth-round pick from 2027. The Patriots made this trade because of Vrabel; they probably wouldn’t have made it under Belichick, who would have thought the price was too high, especially since he’s got questionable knees.
Dianna Russini had known all along that AJ Brown wanted to reunite with Mike Vrabel. ESPN picked up the story and mentioned “Vrabel” more times yesterday than it had since April. The Vrabel connection is likely to benefit the Patriots, and with AJ Brown now in the fold, it should help even more. Drake Maye has a top wide receiver—something Belichick never provided for Mac Jones. Even last year with Stefon Diggs, Mike Vrabel has helped Drake Maye develop. Having Josh McDaniels as well is a huge plus.
The last time the Patriots had a dynamic receiver was probably Randy Moss. Antonio Brown doesn’t count because he was here for only a brief moment. Brown will be great for Drake Maye and will open up the offense even more. Here’s what Vrabel had to say.the offense even more. Here’s what Vrabel had to say.the offense even more. AJ Brown Brings More Wins To New England
The Patriots with Brown just added one to two more wins to their tough schedule. I said 10 wins before Brown now I think they’ll win 12 games. He makes the offense more explosive.
AJ Brown feels like a kid in a candy store saying
Brown has been a Patriots fan since he was little and had a Patriots rug in his house while on the Eagles. No doubt if Page Six didn’t write about Russini and Vrabel in April she would’ve gotten the first interview.
