Things can’t get much lower for the Baltimore Ravens this season. As they have now lost four consecutive games and now have a 1-5 record on the season, as they didn’t score a touchdown on the day, their only points came on a field goal as they fell to the Los Angeles Rams by the score of 17-3. The Ravens, heading into their bye week, have many unanswered questions about their team.
The Ravens’ offense was nowhere to be found on this day as they were shut out of the endzone throughout the entire game. They were in the red zone three times and didn’t come away without a single touchdown, which was very disappointing to the team and the fans. Knowing those red zone opportunities were right there, they decided to be greedy and not take 3 points, knowing those missed opportunities would come back to bite them. Moreover, the missed opportunities in the red zone were not the only issue; three turnovers also hindered the offense’s ability to make big plays throughout the game, ultimately costing them in the end.
On the other side of the ball, the defense actually had a very surprising good day, to say the least. The Ravens’ defense held the Rams’ offense to just 17 points and 241 total yards, making it a phenomenal day. They also created a turnover for the 1st time since Week 2 when they forced two turnovers against the Browns. Another positive to take away was that they held Puka Nacua to only two catches for 28 yards, because he left the game early with an ankle injury. The defense did everything it could to keep the Ravens in the game, but turnovers by the offense did them in this loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Moving forward for the Ravens defense, was this game a one-hit wonder, or could it get the defense back on track for the Ravens of the season? Only time will tell.
The Los Angeles Rams didn’t have a typical day on offense from Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay, but their defense stepped up and made three turnovers that helped secure their 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens in week 6. The Rams D took advantage with Lamar Jackson being out for 2nd consecutive week and made Cooper Rush’s life hell all game long. The Rams shut the Ravens out of the endzone by stopping them 3 times early in the 1st half, including stopping Derrick Henry on 4th & Goal at the 1-yard line. And those plays on the defense were enough to give Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense two touchdowns, enough points to hold on to win their 4th game of the season.
The Baltimore Ravens are now 1-5 on these after losing their 4th consecutive game to the Rams. They got a lot of question marks going into their bye week this week. Lamar Jackson is most likely coming back in week 8 against the Chicago Bears, which could give the Ravens a much-needed boost to get their season back on track. And when Lamar Jackson is out there, he gives the Ravens a chance to win every game he starts. Also, their defensive leader, Roquan Smith, is coming back, which could give the Ravens’ defense a boost. However, the team’s success will depend on how they execute plays on both offense and defense.
In Week 7, the Ravens get a much-needed bye week as they sit at a record 1-5, and the question going into this bye week will be how they can get their season back on track for a potential playoff run. But the main question for this team going into their bye week is, with Lamar Jackson coming back, should they try to salvage their season and make a run for the playoffs, or say, let’s forget about this season and let’s get ready for 2026? The main reason this team is where it is this season is mainly due to Head Coach John Harbaugh, and if he doesn’t turn this ship around, he could be in the unemployment line by season’s end.
