How did Unique know where to be at the end of the Season 4 Power: Raising Kanan finale? That’s a mystery we won’t know until Season 4. But there is still a larger play at hand here. While Unique was left for dead after a fight with his brother Ronnie, did enough happen to the point that Unique wanted him dead? Hell, despite what happened, did Ronnie want Unique dead?
Let’s think back. Despite their differences, they are brothers and still had each other’s back. That tragic moment was done in rage. It was a fight every set of brothers has had at some point in their lives. Unique confronted Ronnie about his mouth and they fought. Remember, Unique walked away. Ronnie, in a fit of rage, hits his brother with a pipe and then dumps him in the woods. At that point, it was no turning back.
As awful as that was, there was still love there. When Juliana wanted to take Unique out, it was Ronnie who told her numerous times that Unique was his brother and he was not going anywhere. Even then, Ronnie wasn’t feeling Unique’s every move but he wouldn’t let anything happen to his brother. As unpredictable as Ronnie was, Unique was not going to let anything happen to his brother. And yet, here they are at a crossroads.
What Unique walked in on was his dead brother’s body. It’s no coincidence that someone told him where to be. He had to see who pulled the trigger. Now the question is, will he want revenge or will he let it slide in the name of business?
There is no way he can let that slide. Kanan killed his brother and by all accounts, Unique may think that Raq had something to do with it. Before his death, they had their moments. While Unique was never a big Kanan fan, he may be out for blood.
So many theories are out there that maybe he can’t remember what happened. That could be true but he did know enough to understand what he was looking at on the ground. Now, the writers could take that and run with it. If that’s the case they could use the amnesia storyline to have Unique forget that it was Ronnie who did that to him. Someone could tell him that Raq, Kanan, or Marvin dumped him in the woods. This would explain his presence at the scene.
Before that event, Unique was a different person than he was in Season 1. If the amnesia story takes place, the writers can bring the old Unique back. Back to the point where he wanted Raq and her crew dead. Back to the point where he knows he has a brother but not what happened between them. He would forget about the love interest he had with Raq. He could forget everything including the part where his brother caused him harm.
Either way, Season 4 of Raising Kanan will be built on revenge, especially for Unique. Will he be out for blood for his brother’s death or will he come at Raq to reclaim the crown he once held? and what exactly does he remember about the incident?
