The Power Universe is very deceptive if not anything. While characters have met their demise either on or offscreen, the main one everyone wants to know about is Ghost. Is Ghost dead or still alive?
In Season 6 of the original Power, Tariq shot his father and allegedly killed him as he fell to his death. We then saw Tommy run to his side but that was it. Ghost was seen no more.
While there was a funeral, there was never a body shown. That has further added fuel to the fire that Ghost is still alive and will make an appearance down the line somewhere. Many predicted that it would be in the Power Book 2: Ghost series but that has not happened yet and they are set to showcase their 4th season.
With Tommy getting his series (Force), that’s another show that made perfect sense. With two seasons already in the books, time is running out. And yet, there is still hope for a Ghost return.
In each sequel and prequel, there has been a faked death. Tommy was supposedly killed in a car crash, but as we all know, he survived. Lauren was supposedly killed by Effie but she survived as well. Now we have Unique who survived a vicious beating at the hands of his brother Ronnie but at the season finale of Season 3, Unique came from the shadows.
Will Ghost Return To Power?
Which series will he make his return? There is no way Power can kill off the main character of the universe like that, right? It’s possible, but the fact that we haven’t seen a body, well, that makes everyone suspicious.
Maybe he is dead but if he is, why continue to play around with character’s deaths? Lauren should have stayed dead and the same goes for Unique. If they can survive a drowning and a beating to the skull, then Ghost can survive a single shot and a fall.
I feel as if the writers are waiting for the right moment and this could be the time. The Feds are closing in on Tommy in Chicago and he could use the help of his brother Ghost. Despite his concerns regarding Tariq and the drug game, Ghost may be the only person capable of saving his son with everyone out to kill him.
