After 6 seasons, Snowfall finally said their goodbyes. However, it wasn’t without a few questions after the series finale. With a show as popular as Snowfall, there was no way that every storyline could be wrapped up to satisfy every viewer. Franklin Saint made it out alive but with a cost. Leon and Wanda decided to come back and change the community while Gustavo and Louie are living life on the run so to speak. But did we get enough closure?
With a large cast of characters, some viewers had their favorites and ones they hated. Did Jerome deserve the fate he was handed while Louie got away with her life? What about Cissy killing Teddy, was that the best play? And should Franklin have gone to jail rather than being free after all the chaos he caused?
Here are 5 burning questions following the series finale of Snowfall.
Did Veronique Do The Right Thing
Fans have been wondering if Veronique was the real deal from the moment she showed up on Snowfall. It went as far as questioning whether she was pregnant or not. And once her sneaky mother came into the picture, things really began to look uneasy. But with the way the show ended, many are still left wondering if she did Franklin dirty or not. Truth be told, she always had his back.
Franklin was losing it. He went to her and became violent. What else was she supposed to do? Carrying his child, Franklin was not looking at the bigger picture. Veronique found a way to put money in their pockets but Franklin was hell-bent on getting the money back from a dead Teddy. In her defense, she had to do what was best for her and their unborn baby. There was no need for Franklin to take everyone down. She didn’t use him, he wouldn’t listen to reason.
Why Was Peaches’ Scene So Short
Franklin has been searching for Peaches for quite a while. And when he finally found him, they were given, maybe 3 minutes of screentime together. While Peaches may seem like a secondary character, his story arc was still important. Peaches was the muscle for Franklin and then he vanished. It was obvious that he was hooked on drugs but the stealing from Franklin caused an issue. But for fans, we wanted answers more than Franklin did.
Peaches stole from him but we never received a clear understanding of why he decided to betray Franklin in the first place. All we received was a strung-out Peaches on a sofa and him trying to shoot Franklin before Saint got the upper hand. What was the reason for bringing him back only to give him less than 5 minutes of screen time? As Franklin’s muscle, Peaches’ storyline could have been expanded with a better story to tell why he did what he did and how he did it and stayed under the radar for so long.
Who Should Return For Snowfall Spinoff
This has to be the biggest question surrounding Snowfall other than– will Franklin make it back on his feet? With news that there will be a spinoff, the question is who will return? While the early rumors are that the show will be guided by Wanda, many also believe that her husband Leon will be a headliner as well. But who else should be invited back? With Louie, Skully, Oso, and Buckley still alive, there is a good chance they could reprise their roles.
Franklin Saint could also make a return in a limited role but most or some of the main cast from the original Snowfall could be back. While there will be some new charters and storylines, adding some old faces would not be a bad idea.
Did Louie Escape With Money
Before Louie went on the run, she was about to travel someplace. She had bags packed and we’re pretty sure there was a stash of money someplace. But she was forced to run and leave everything and when she contacted Buckley to help her, she told him of a stash that had $1M. But did she ever get to that money? The next time we saw Louie, she was hiding in a Horse Stable in another country. With no Jerome or product from Teddy, how was Louie making ends meet?
Louie and Jerome made plenty of money off the moves they made but where did she have the money? After seeing what Teddy did to her nephew Franklin, did Louie make the same mistake and have everything in a bank? If she did indeed run with just that $1M she told Buckley about, there is no way that Louie was able to live off that over the 5 years. What happened to Louie is still a mystery. We know what happened to Franklin, but Louie’s storyline is still a mystery.
Did Oso Make It To NC
Even with Franklin losing a lot, Teddy losing his life, and Louie losing her husband, it’s clear that fans were happy that Oso got out safe. However, he did so at a huge cost as well. Gustavo’s story was one of heartbreak. He lost Lucia, never to see her again, and then fell for his brother’s wife, Xiamara, and her family. In order to keep them safe, Oso was forced to let them leave while he and Franklin made sure that Teddy was dealt with.
But the good news is, that after 2 years, Xiamara finally reached out to Oso and informed him that she and the boys were finally set up in North Carolina. While we don’t know if Oso will make it there, if we know him like we think we do, he will find a way to be with his family. And remember, everyone thinks he is dead to begin with. He was kidnapped from the car and never seen again.
