We roll into the second month of the new year! For the second spotlight, we meet a great young lady from northern Sweden Hanna Oberg standing at 5’2 don’t be fooled she is a ball of positive butt kicking energy. Since 2008 she has been all in for fitness and healthy living, her YouTube page has taken off and people are starting to take notice. I love how she is always willing to share her knowledge with people and is very positive. I want to thank Hanna for making time for me, her positivity and good vibes jump out at you. It was a very cool conversation.
JC: Being a sports lover what are some of your favorite sports and players?
HOB: I’m a fan of ice hockey and football. Peter Forsberg and Zlatan are of course favorites.
JC: Lots of our readers are interested in fitness competitions. What led you to do them and how has it been?
HOB: I wanted to challenge myself. I wanted to prove to myself that I actually was stronger than I thought. At this point in time (in the beginning of my journey) the workouts went great and I managed to reach my goals. That led to me wanting to challenge myself even more, which made the competing in fitness competitions a perfect fit.
JC: Who are some of the people who inspire and motivate you?
HOB: Linn Löwes, Michelle Lewin, Lauren Simpson
JC: How many times a week do you train?
HOB: 5 times a week and 2 rest days.
JC: What is your trick/routine for maintaining the balance you talk about?
HOB: You have to believe in yourself. You have to try different things to find the right balance. It’s not always easy, trust me, but I know how good I feel thanks to this lifestyle, and that fact in itself motivates me. I have a body which I have the ability to shape. With hard work and willpower, combined with joy for what you’re doing, you will reach very far. You have the ability to influence your own health. Why wait?!
JC: What partnerships have you made or are working on so far?
HOB: I have monthly running partner/sponsorships with Women’s Best and Gymshark. But I do also have other re-appearing collaborations mainly with other sports- and fashion brands.
JC: How has social media helped you grow your brand and get your name out to the world?
HOB: It has helped me in so many ways. Just the fact that this is my full-time job today is amazing. My social media platforms have helped me to find a new confidence in myself. Being able to stand in front of a camera today and have fun and feeling comfortable is great. I hope to continue what I’m doing and through pictures and videos show the joy I truly feel for this life.
JC: What do you have planned for 2017?
HOB: To continue running my Instagram like before, and make my Youtube grow (recently started with YouTube in October), and finally, one day being able to call myself a YouTuber on full time basis. I want to release a sports apparel brand, work with clients online and simply spread love and happiness!
JC: What are your feelings on dieting and fitness? I’ve been there myself. It’s so much fun to have big goals and to push yourself to the limit. Seeing results after hard work is one of the best things ever. BUT, you can’t let it exaggerate. You can do fitness, without reaching extreme limits. I live a healthy lifestyle and I stand for a strong, feminine and fit body!

Bonus Questions:
JC: I hear you LOVE a good burger! Where in Sweden is the best spot for burgers and where have you had the best one yet?
HOB: Haha, that’s true! I’m weak for burgers, indeed. So, I live in Gothenburg, and I’ve been to Stockholm too and eaten a lot. Although, I have to say Gothenburg has the best place to eat burgers at… My favorites are “Holy Cow” and “The Barn”.
JC: Being a lover of traveling where is the coolest place you’ve been so far?
HOB: L.A. – St. Monica & Venice Beach
JC: How many tattoos do you have and what’s your favorite one?
HOB: 4, The one on my arm is my favorite. It will soon enough become a sleeve tattoo.
JC: You are an R&B/HipHop music fan who are some of your favorite groups/artists?
HOB: I like Kid Ink, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Track Jay, Young Money and so on… 🙂 J
Within seconds of turning on one of Hannas YouTube, videos you can see the excitement and energy she brings. With that type of mindset, the sky is the limit for her. The only question left is do I get a discount at “The Barn?”
