This has been one of the craziest NFL seasons in recent memory. The AFC and NFC East are what we thought the AFC West would be. No one saw the rapid decline of Russell Wilson or the rise of Geno Smith. Its been a fun year so far and we have a lot of football left to be played.
5 Things We Learned About Week 12 In The NFL:
5) Dan Campbell keeps losing games:
Every week we hear how the Detroit Lions players love Campbell and will run through a wall for him. What we aren’t hearing is how bad his in game decisions are and how they cost the Lions wins. Detroit is -57 in point differential in the 3rd quarter. This means that he makes absolutely zero adjustments at halftime. Against the Bills on a crucial 3rd and 1 he decides to throw a 30 yard pass that was incomplete. The Bills got the ball back with just enough time and kicked the game winning field goal. The Lions don’t need a cheerleader they need a coach who can implement a game plan and adjust for 4 quarters. This team has a good offensive live, a quarterback who played in a super bowl and, good wide receivers, they should be much better. Campbell is holding them back.
4) The Arizona Cardinals are a sinking ship:
A few weeks ago, Kyler Murray on national TV, told his coach to calm the F down as he walked to the sideline. After the Cardinals lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, 25-24 Murry said in a press conference that schematically the team is a F’ing mess. Arizona is 4-8 and this is as good as it will get. Coming into this season Kliff Kingsbury was 16-43 the 2nd half of the season. His teams always get worse as the season goes on and now there is a total disconnect between the quarterback and head coach. The end is near for the Arizona coach.
3) Here come the Bengals:
Cincinnati defeated a good Tennessee Titans team on the road, 20-16. The Bengals are finding ways to win and getting better even though their star WR, Ja’Marr Chase has only played in 7 games this season. The Baltimore Ravens have played terrible football over the past few weeks and this division is a mess. Right now Cincinnati is the favorite to win the AFC North.
AFC North:
- Ravens, 7-4.
- Bengals, 7-4.
- Browns, 7-4.
- Steelers, 7-4.
2) There is a new Sheriff in New York… his name is Mike White:
The New York Jets dominated a Chicago Bears team on Sunday, 31-10. Mike White replaced struggling Zach Wilson who was on the sideline in street clothes. White put on a performance very similar Ryan Fitzpatrick. He replaced a starter and played very well. White was 22-28 for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns. If the season ended today the Jets would be in the playoffs. Mike White is now the starter and unless there is an injury, Wilson’s career may be over in New York.
1) The Week 13 Schedule is the best set of games this year:

- 7-5 Commanders at 7-4 Giants
- 7-4 Titans at 10-1 Eagles
- 8-3 Dolphins at 7-4 49ers
