2026 Draft Preview: Identifying Baltimore Ravens’ Top Draft Needs

By: Joey MacDonald

With the 2026 NFL Draft only 2 weeks away, the Baltimore Ravens are looking to address their draft needs. The Ravens have certain holes on both sides that they need to fill for the 2026 NFL season and beyond. These needs will go a long way toward helping the Baltimore Ravens this season and into the future beyond 2026. When looking at this football, the Baltimore Ravens look like one of the most complete teams in the NFL. And, with the draft needs the Ravens have, a great draft can go a long way for the 2026 season.

#1 Need: Interior Offensive Line

Tyler Linderbaum and Daniel Faalele both left by free agency, leaving both the center and right guard positions vacant. The Ravens will need to find help protecting superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was sacked 36 times in 2025. Keeping Lamar Jackson upright and protected will help the Ravens win some ballgames in both regular and postseason in 2026. Two draft prospects who could shape the Ravens’ OL are Utah T Spencer Fano and Penn State G Vega Ioane. The Ravens draft needs particular attention; the interior offensive line will be the most important draft need in the 1st round.

#2 Need: Pass Rusher

In 2025, the Baltimore Ravens were at the bottom of the NFL in sacks, with only 30 sacks on defense. Last year, they drafted Mike Green in the 2nd round from Marshall, who showed some promise in his rookie year. In free agency, they went out and signed Trey Hendrickson to a 4-year deal to boost the pass rush. Getting to the quarterback will be another draft need for the Baltimore Ravens to improve their defense in 2026. Pass rushers Rueben Bain Jr and David Bailey could be what the Ravens need to improve the pass rush.

#3 Need: Wide Receiver

Another draft need the Baltimore Ravens will need to address in the NFL Draft is wide receiver help. Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are the only two wide receivers who make some big plays for the Ravens. Bateman had a down year in 2025, and Zay Flowers had another 1000 yards is due for a contract extension. Having Zay Flowers is huge for Lamar Jackson, and adding another wide receiver can take pressure off Zay Flowers. Two WR prospects the Baltimore Ravens could take at #14 in the draft are Makai Lemon or Jordyn Tyson.

#4 Need: Tight End

The tight end position is another draft need the Ravens will look at, with Mark Andrews being the only one. Isiah Likely went to the NY Giants, and Charlie Kolar went to the LA Chargers in free agency. Plus, Mark Andrews is getting up there in age, being 30, and they need to think about the future. And, getting their tight end for the future after Mark Andrews is something that the Ravens will look at. Both Kenyon Sadiq and Michael Trigg are tight end prospects who could get a good look by the Baltimore Ravens.

#5 Need: Cornerback

The last draft need that the Baltimore Ravens should look at in the NFL draft is secondary, particularly cornerback. With the emergence of Nate Wiggins, the Ravens should look to add another lockdown cornerback opposite of Nate Wiggins. The secondary was ranked at the bottom of the league in pass defense, and they need help to fix it. The Ravens throughout their history have a great history of drafting cornerbacks in the 1st roun of the draft. Cornerback prospects Jermod McCoy from Tennessee and Mansoor Delane from LSU can help this secondary go from bad to good.

Overall Thoughts:

The Baltimore Ravens, with its currently roster, look like a team that can win a Super Bowl in 2026. The things that have been preventing them from happening are self-inflicted mistakes on both sides of the football. Also, the draft needs with this team will need to be filled within the draft for this year and beyond. The Ravens, as long as Lamar Jackson is their quarterback, this team will be in contention every single year. And, if this team can fix the self-inflicted mistakes in the postseason, this team will hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
