All the excitement around the NFL season is cool. I am definitely ready for the season. But a part of the game that I love is all the questions we have that get answered on the field. As the host of two shows a week about ball and the founder of a brand that is football-heavy, I have questions each year and wanted to share them with you, my fellow football-loving brothers and sisters.
- How long do we wait for “the leap?”
Kyle Pitts, Kyler Murray, Trevor Lawrence, I am looking at you! How long until we see the promise we have heard about for what feels like forever? Are we out of excuses yet? Or is this the year we start to talk about moving on? - Does Arron Rogers have anything left in the tank?
Yes, he is old and coming off a major injury they say the 2nd year is when you really get it back, but at his age do you EVER get anything back? Steeler fans are hoping so, his NFL book can’t end like this can it? - Do the Miami Dolphins and Mike McDainel stay together all season?
Injuries and bad management have snake bitten this head coach and team for a long time now. A QB who is one bad hit away from calling it a career, diva’s wideouts, and a depealted secondary. Is McDaniel the first HC to go if they get off to a rough start? - Are we sleeping on Cam Ward?
Have we ever had a QB picked number and be talked about less than Ward? I know this Titans team isn’t sexy with all the flashy names, but if you pay attenion they just work in slince and are building something. Feels like a bunch of dudes with chips on their shoulders wanting to show out. And the leader has the biggest chip of them all. I’m just saying watch out for it. - Will the real CJ Stroud be back this year?
After going through a tough season of up and down play how will the former Rookie of The Year bounce back? Houston is in a funky divison but one they can win if number 7 is back on track. - Micah Parson is GREAT, but can Jordan Love ball out?
With so many young players on the team Packers fans and coaches look to Jordan Love for leadership and stellar play. He needs to be healthy and showcase what we saw in the playoffs. The window in Green Bay is wide open, can he step through it and carry his teammates with him? - What is the plan here?
I am talking to you Seattle, Las Veags, Jacksonville, Arizona. Lots of offseason moves but will it result in more wins, or a step towards being good again? Maybe I’m just not seeing it? - What does Mr. Barkley do for an encore?
Coming off one of the best seasons a runnig back has EVER had what can he do? Will he gain 2K yards again? Have defenses figured out a way to slow him down? It was unreal watching him last year and so excited to see 2.0. - QB’s on my radar to show me something, enough excuses and underperformances. Who are they?
Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Bryce Young, Justin Fields, PLAYOFF Lamar Jackson. You guys get all the headlines and haven’t really shown up when its money time. We give you free pass after free pass only to get disappointed in the end. Which of these men shows off this year and shuts up a lot of the haters? - Is the championship window for the Kansas City Chiefs still open?
After getting punched in the mouth by the Eagles this team went to work on trying to improve. They backed up the Brinks truck for offensive line help. Scooped up some under the radar help on offense for Patrick Mahomes. Kept some home grown talent and of course the bad taste of that Super Bowl performance. Can anyone in the AFC knock them off the top?
