Wiz DG has advanced to the eastern conference finals again in season 5 of the NBA 2kLeague! The team received a bye for the 1st round due to finishing as the top seed in the East.
In the next round, they faced off against a very talented Gen G team led by 1st overall pick in the Season 5 draft and potential ROY “OTTR” Gallo and Season 2 2KLeague Champion Feast.
Wiz DG went on to take Game 1 in the Best of 3 Series winning 68 to 57. Kapp went off Game 1 leading the team in scoring finishing with 23 points shooting 8/11 from the field and 7/11 from 3. BRICH (15 points), JustAwkward (11 points),Newdini (points), and Dayfri (14 points)
Game 2 came down to the wire! With BRICH showing us all that he will continue to hit big shots when it counts for the money hitting a crazy fadeaway green bean shot at the top of the key to put the team up by 1 in the closing minutes. They went on to win Game 2 51-50 and advance to the Eastern Conference finals to take on Knicks gaming. Kapp and Dayfri were the leading scorers both finishing 16 points to close out the series.
This team’s composure and willingness to fight for each other continues to keep them in games in and out. Their trust in each other on defense to string together multiple stops, secure rebounds, and rotate for each other keeps teams on their toes because they know they cannot make mistakes against this team or they will make you pay.
They will take on Knicks Gaming today who have just eliminated Sixers GC from the playoffs yesterday. They will need to slow down the backcourt of this Knicks team OriginalMalik & Radiant are two really great guards who are good scores if they are able to slow them down today this Wiz team will be back in the NBA 2KLeague Finals again!
