This off-season has been crazy for Tom Brady because it seemed like Brady was finally done with football and was going to enter his second career outside of football.
Brady has announced his retirement on social media to the world, and it looked like the Goat had made his mind up about retiring. However, that wasn’t the case because Brady only retired for 40 days. His retirement may have been one of the shortest retirements in NFL history.
Brady decided to come back because he knew he still had a chance to win another championship add more to his legacy and bring another title back to Tampa.
This upcoming season is going to be a grind for Brady and the Buccaneers because they lost Ryan Jenson who is the center for the Buccaneers and Jenson does a great job at protecting Brady. Jenson will miss several months with a knee injury.
The Buccaneers also lost some other key offensive linemen to free agency and Rob Gronkowski to retirement so this year’s team will have a different approach coming into this season.
Tom Brady is going to have to play at an MVP level this year if the Bucs want to hold that Vince Lombardi trophy at the end of the season next year.
Last season, the Buccaneers lost to the Rams in the divisional round (30-27). It also looked like that may have been Brady’s last game in the NFL. However, that wasn’t the case for Brady, and the Bucs are ready to go on a revenge tour and take back what they feel like there’s to lose.
The Buccaneers did lose Gronkowski to retirement, and Chris Godwin is returning from an ACL injury so his status this year is still uncertain as of right now.
Despite the Buccaneers losing key players to the offense, they added players such as Russell Gage, Bershad Perriman, and Julio Jones.
For the past few seasons, Julio Jones has missed a lot of time due to injuries, so Jones is looking to stay healthy and be the missing piece playing alongside Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Jones has an opportunity to win a championship and play a very important role for the Buccaneers.
If Brady wins another championship this upcoming season, he will have won 8 championships, and this year may be his last year playing in the NFL. There’s no better feeling than retiring on top and walking into the sunset.
It won’t be easy for the Buccaneers this season because the defending champion, Los Angeles Rams are one of the favorites to win the championship, and they have a good chance at repeating as champions. The 49ers, the Packers, and the Eagles are all contenders in the NFC.
One thing that Brady loves to do is to compete and prove everyone wrong that consistency doubts him. No matter what the circumstance, you can’t count out Brady. Brady’s resume speaks for himself, and he has a proven track where he always bounces back the following season and wins the Super Bowl.
The Buccaneers will start off their season on the road as they face the Dallas Cowboys, and the race to another championship will begin.
It could actually be Tom Brady’s last season in the NFL.
The real question is will Brady end the season on top of the NFL world again with a championship, or will the Buccaneers fall short of reaching their goal?
Will Julio Jones be the missing piece for the Bucs to win their 2nd title in 3 years?
Can Todd Bowles win a championship in his first year as the Bucs head coach?
