In 2016, Joe Cardoso started Nuts & Bolts Sports a site dedicated to just sports. In 2023, he wanted to go in a new direction and that’s where Team NBS Media was born. The new direction allowed Joe and the writers to focus on more than just sports.
NBS Media now covers everything from Sports to Politics. You name it, they cover it. With a lineup that features over 20+ writers, Podcasters, Social Media Coordinators, and SEO managers, Team NBS Media has a variety of talent. But what does that mean for you?
Team NBS Media is on the hunt for new talent. (Click the link for Application) Do you have an itch for writing but don’t know quite how to go about getting started? Are you interested in getting in front of a camera doing live video or you just would like to host a non-video podcast? If you answered yes to any of these, NBS Media can help you get started.
If writing is your passion, they cover all sports from the NFL down to Golf. The main question people tend to ask in this era is how much does it pay? Well, to be honest, NBS Media is not in a position to offer any paid writing assignments. However, Team NBS Media offers a percentage of earnings from various partnerships such as Yeti, Fanatics, TikTok, BETUS (Gambling), and more. It may not be what sites like ESPN or Bleacher Report can pay but they offer the freedom and writing creativity those sites don’t.
At Team NBSMedia, you can have your voice. There are no assigned topics. Write what you feel. The same goes for live or recorded Podcasts. Team NBS goes live on StreamYard at least 3 times a week with a variety of different shows. The Maask Podcast, The Hot Seat, Bucs Weekly, and Moving The Chains are just a few of their live shows. The opportunity is there for you if you have the desire. It’s that simple.
They are a family. NBS Media supports one another across all platforms. While writing is work, with that does come some perks. One of the main perks of writing for Team NBS Media is the opportunity to cover live events. They have covered some great events as a team while others have done so on their own and brought their experience to the NBS. Are you a fan of Soccer, well, Team NBS is credentialed there. College Basketball, WNBA, and others have been gracious enough to let them into their inner circle.
What is having press credentials like? Free entrance into events. Sitting in a press booth, free food, and access to locker rooms, press conferences, and players. If you want to know what it’s like to meet Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, or Aja Wilson, let Team NBS Media be the one to get you in the door.
They say that print media is going out of style. Some companies are closing their doors as there has been an increase in bloggers and what some may call non-qualified journalists. What is a non-qualified journalist? This term is often brought up by people who feel threatened by what we (the smaller market sites) do. We have passion. We love to do it and that poses a threat to others.
Back to the original question. What is Team NBS Media? It’s a place where your voice can be heard on your terms. It’s a place that gives you an opportunity to grow as some of their writers have used the platform to jumpstart their careers at ESPN, NBC Sports, and Bleacher Report. They also offer interns an opportunity to earn college credits. This is the place you need to be if you have a passion for writing, social media, or content creation. So, what are you waiting for, click that link and fill out the form. Can’t wait to hear from you.
