The Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha continue its epicness on Day Four.
A dynamite showdown between Katie Ledecky and Allison Schmitt in the 200 Meter Freestyle Final was a match-up between two of the most decorated Olympic champions resulting in an unsurprising one/two finish with Paige Madden and Katie McLaughlin joining them in the 4×200 freestyle in Tokyo.

Allison delivered a touching moment during the medal ceremony by donning a sweatshirt that read “Your Story Isn’t Over Yet” a profound statement about mental health awareness given that she is one of the foremost advocates for the cause.

It was in honor of her cousin April who died by suicide in 2015 and she is currently involved in a project called Long Live April.
She spoke about what the journey to get to this point has been for her as well as what it has been like to have Michael Phelps and his family embrace her after the race and having him as a mentor in her life.
“It has been quite a journey to get to 2021 as it has been for everyone” she said.
“To embrace them afterward was full of emotions. Michael has been a mentor to me in the pool and out of the pool.”
