The beginning of this game was rough. The Warriors missed their first six shots and only scored three points in the first five minutes. Yikes. Although this matchup was filled with ups and downs, in the end, the Warriors were able to add another W to the win column.
Draymond Returns
After missing seven games with a calf strain, Draymond Green returned and made a huge effort when it mattered most. His defensive presence was much needed to close the game when the Dubs and Magic were tied at 90 with three-plus minutes left on the clock.
Moses Moody Shines Again
In the last few weeks, we have seen a major change in Moses Moody’s performance. He looks confident taking crucial shots, is aggressive on the ball, and understands his role when he is a part of the closing rotation. Many young players have stepped up in the last few weeks alongside Moody including Quinten Post, and Gui Santos, which have given the Dubs an energy back on the court they desperately need. Moody hit a much-needed three to give the Dubs a lead in the fourth. Pair that with Draymond’s stop and the Warriors win.
Wednesday Madness
It is no secret the Dubs are a little desperate to make a trade to compete in the Western Conference. Since the Luka-AD trade occurred on Saturday evening, the Warriors have been actively looking for an All-Star to join the team. Stephen Curry has expressed the team is aiming to compete in the playoffs and we know a veteran will certainly help with that goal. Dub Nation is looking for Curry to get that fifth ring, no matter what it takes FYI.

“The Warriors are legitimately calling about every All-Star player,” Charania said. “You just name the All-Star player, the Warriors have probably called them. Paul George, they have called on him. They’ve made calls on every star. That includes players like LeBron, players like Kevin Durant, players like Jimmy Butler, they are making calls. They are deadset on trying to find another superstar player.”
The Warriors will head to Utah on Wednesday night, the eve of the trade deadline, with the possibility of major roster changes lingering over everyone’s head. These two teams faced off last week at Chase Center– the Dubs were without Curry, and the Jazz played without their major stars in the 114-103 Warriors win. The young squad (led by Dennis Schröder) took over last week and their efforts will be needed again to beat the last team in the Western Conference.
