UFC Vegas 7 Recap
It was time for the showdown, as Frankie Edgar made his bantamweight debut against dangerous Pedro Munhoz.
Frankie Edgar is an all-time great, a former UFC Champion with impressive ability to recover after a hard shot. Pedro Munhoz is one of the heavier-hitting fighters in the bantamweight division, so he was more than willing to take shots if it meant landing a clean one of his own.
The whole fight was highly unpredictable and a crapshoot, but the consensus was that he would win if Edgar went the distance. The question was whether Edgar could go five rounds without having a Munhoz blow blast him.
I predicted – incorrectly! that Pedro Munhoz would win by TKO in the 3rd round.

There is a harsh reality that comes with signing new UFC talent. After the latest round of Contender Series signings, Dana White reminded fans and fighters that the UFC is still a numbers game.
It wasn’t that long ago that any fighter with two losses in a row could essentially consider themselves out of a job.
