ACTION CONTINUES ON UFC FIGHT ISLAND JULY 15, AS TOP FEATHERWEIGHT CONTENDERS CALVIN KATTAR AND DAN IGE LOOK TO MAKE A STATEMENTS.
ALSO FEATURED BOUTS: TIM ELLIOT Vs. RYAN BENOIT and JIMMIE RIVERA Vs. CODY STAMANN.
At this stage UFC sports has become a massive runaway hit and even if you disagree – as I do! – with over ninety percent of the things that Dana White says and does, you have to place credit where it is rightfully due.

After five shows in Sin City, the UFC took residence on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, to open things up more for its international roster of combatants and continues its Victory Tour as Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige battle to prove they belong in title conversations.

A week earlier UFC announced that Venum will replace Reebok as the official apparel outfitter, beginning in April 2021 and the new deal will reportedly result in more money for fighters, which I am one-hundred percent on board with.
According to the release, the new uniform deal “will result in across the board increases for all athletes effective April 2021.” Important to note, Reebok never determined how much the fighters got paid. That was always up to the UFC. Terms of the deal were not announced.

The UFC will then continue events on UFC FIGHT ISLAND with:
UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: FIGUEIREDO vs. BENAVIDEZ 2 on Saturday, July 18
UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: WHITTAKER vs. TILL on Saturday, July 25.
Kamara Usman dominated Jorge Masdival from the onset on UFC 251, but Masdival was in a Win-Win Situation. If he had won, it would have been great victory and cemented his legacy. However since he lost, now he can blame it on the facts that he took the fight on short notice and all the weight he had shed in order to make the Weight In…or… can simply use the narrative No Excuses. The outcome of UFC 251 main event, was the pure definition of Win-Win for Jorge Masdival.
