The Kansas City Chiefs traded star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five future draft picks.
The Chiefs received a first-round pick (No.29 overall), a second-round pick selection (No. 50 overall), and a fourth-round choice in 2022, plus fourth- and sixth-round picks in 2023.
Since the start of the off-season, there has been a lot of player movement around the NFL with players such as Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Khalil Mack, Devonte Adams, and the list goes on.
With this being the most in-tuned off-season in the NFL for quite some time. At this point, anything can happen.
Hill has been one of the best players since entering the NFL in 2016. Over the years, Hill is known by his nickname Cheetah because of his world-class speed.
The Kansas City Chiefs granted Hill’s agent permission to seek a trade. Hill had one- year left on his deal for over $18 million.
Hill got the long-term contract that he deserved and he’s now the highest-paid receiver in the NFL with his four-year, $120-million extension with Miami.
With Hill’s new contract he reset the market for wide- receivers in the national football league. Last week, Devonte Adams signed a five-year deal worth $141.25 for five years.
Adams will be making $28 million per year and Hill will be making $30 million per year making at the top of the food chain when it comes to securing the bag for a wide receiver.
Hill came into the NFL known for his special team’s ability and over the years Hill has transitioned into a great receiver. Playing alongside Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and that high-powered Chiefs offense. Hill played a big part in their success over the years including that Super Bowl victory over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
Tyreek Hill has been one of the most productive players in for years now. Since he’s been in the NFL, he has over 6,000 receiving yards and 56 career touchdowns.
Tyreek Hill is going to a Miami Dolphins team that has a lot of talent and he’s going to make an immediate impact on their offense. He’s going to help Tua Tagovailoa so much and he’s the missing piece they need. [pickup_prop id=”22292″]
Although Hill got his big payday the Dolphins have talent that he’ll be playing alongside with players such as Jaylen Waddle, Cedrick Wilson, Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, Terron Armstead, etc.
Hill will bring a lot of experience to this young Dolphins team that is ready to take the next step because playing with a team like the Chiefs City and being a team that pays for championships every year.
It teaches you how to prepare and you know what it takes to be a champion. When you want to become a champion, you have to surround yourself with champions because they change the mindset of the players and the organization, they’re around every day.
Having a player like Tyreek Hill will also have a great impact on Jaylen Waddle because he has someone that can mentor him and take some pressure off him. After all, you have two players that can take the top off the defense.
With Hill’s talents no longer being in Kansas City will they be the same team? Mahomes was Hill’s favorite target alongside Kelce.
Will Tyreek Hill be the player that’s the missing piece for the Miami Dolphins and will they take the next step?
Hill will be playing alongside Tua Tagovailoa whose no Patrick Mahomes.
Will Hill be the difference for Tagovailoa so he can take that next step as an elite quarterback in the National Football League?
