10) Jim Kelly, Buffalo Bills and Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks:

Jim Kelly helped lead the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances (Super Bowl XXV–Super Bowl XXVIII) and six divisional championships from 1988 to 1995. Buffalo made the playoffs in eight of Kelly’s 11 seasons as their starting quarterback. The Bills and Kelly stole the no huddle offense from Sam Wyche and the Cincinnati Bengals and perfected it. In an era where most teams wanted to “Ground and Pound” Kelly’s passing offense was elite.

Russell Wilson is 2nd in the history of the NFL in touchdown’s to interception ratio.  He averages 3.34 touchdown passes to every 1 interception thrown. He has a career record of 86-41, 227 passing touchdowns, 68 interceptions and 19 rushing touchdowns. Wilson can beat you with his legs and his arms. If he played in New York, LA, or Chicago he would be the talk of the NFL.

9) Steve Young:

Young could beat opposing defenses with his speed, his power and his arm.

From 1988-1998, Young posted a QB rating of no lower than 92.3. He is 7th all-time with a 96.8 QBR rating. He combined for 277 touchdowns and 107 interceptions. Young was the best dual-threat quarterback to ever play the game.

8) Brett Favre:

Favre was the very definition of a “gun-slinger.” He finished his career with 508 touchdown passes, that is 4th all-time. When he was on his game, Favre was great. When he was off his game, he was bad. He threw 336 interceptions, which is the most in NFL history. 2nd is George Blanda who threw, 277 interceptions.

7) Dan Marino:

Marino was drafted as the 27th overall pick in the 1983.  26 teams, including the Jets, Lions and Chiefs past on him.

Marino is best known for his “fake-spike” against the New York Jets

He had one of the quickest releasing to ever play the game.  Marino threw for over 3,400 yards in 9 of his 17 seasons with the Dolphins and finished his career with 420 passing TD’s. That is 5th all-time.

6) Drew Brees:

Over the past 4 seasons, Brees has completed 70%, 72%, 74.4% and 74.3%. He is the most accurate passer to ever play quarterback. Brees is first all-time with 547 touchdown passes. When all is said and done, he will be in the top 5 in every major passing category.

5) Aaron Rodgers:

Rodgers and John Elway are the two most skilled quarterbacks to ever play the game. Rodger is first all-time in touchdown to interception ratio. He throws 1 interception for every 4.33 touchdown passes. Rodgers has become the master of late game heroics and “Hail Mary” passes.

YouTube player

Rodgers has 364 passing touchdowns, only 84 interceptions and a passer rating of 102.4.  His passer rating is ranked #1, in the history of the NFL.

4) Peyton Manning:

One could argue that Manning is the greatest regular season quarterback of all-time. His 539 touchdown passes are ranked 3rd in the history of the NFL. Peyton was a fierce competitor and won 2- Super Bowls. He will go down as a top 5 quarterback and one of the greatest minds to ever play the game. If he had better coaching, he could have won 4 or 5 Super Bowls.

3) John Elway:

Other than Jeff George and Marino there has never been a better arm in the NFL. John Elway threw bullet passes. His arm strength was legendary. In the 1986 season, Elway led the Broncos to Super Bowl XXI, after defeating the Cleveland Browns on a famous possession at the end of the fourth quarter that became known as “The Drive.” On January 31, 1999, in Super Bowl XXXIII, Elway passed for 336 yards in a 34-19 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He was named the Super Bowl MVP. Elway won 2 Super Bowl rings.

He was a 9-time pro-bowl selection in 16 seasons with the Broncos. Elway led Denver to 35 comeback wins in the 4th quarter & overtime.

2) Joe Montana:

One could argue that Montana should be #1 on this list. He went 4-0 in Super Bowls and changed offenses across the NFL. The 49ers, west-coast offense was impossible to stop at times and copied by almost every team in the league. Montana’s early success with “The Catch” propelled San Francisco to their first Super Bowl.

The Rest is history. Montana has 4 rings and 3 Super Bowl MVP Trophies. When the game was on the line, there was no one better.

1) Tom Brady:

Brady has won 16 division titles with New England. The Patriots appeared in 9 Super Bowls and he has won 6 Vince Lombardi Trophies. He also won 4 Super Bowl MVP Awards and 3 NFL MVP Awards. There will never be a quarterback in the history of the NFL to dominate the league for 20 years the way Brady has. There will never be another quarterback to go to 9 Super Bowls. It is a record that will never be broken. That is why Tom Brady is the greatest of all-time
