I have admit, it was fascinating to see Tiger Woods fall from grace and watch him try to answer all of those embarrassing questions about his marital indiscretions.
Injuries derailed Tiger’s pursuit of Jack Nicklaus’ record for most PGA wins and the video of his DUI arrest in Florida turned him into a national punchline.
Holy Cow!
I’ve not seen a professional athlete’s reputation crash and burn like that, since Pete Rose.
For the longest time Tiger Woods would just put the Fear of God on the rest of the field whenever he played, like a young Mike Tyson use to do when he built a reputation of leaving an assembly line like trail of knockout victims along his path.
All of his opponents would look defeated even before the first tee.
Tiger was invincible. Then it all came crashing down on him.
His personal life and his game.
Tiger has in the past explained his bad judgment by saying that after all he is human like any one of us and like any one of us he made some very bad decisions,
“…This (whole) situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect…”, Tiger Woods
Even casual Golf fans – like myself! – admire how far Tiger has come.
The man free-fell from somewhere beyond pass Celebrity Mountain.
A fall like that killed Pete Rose’s popularity, left Joe Paterno’s legacy in ruins and reduced Mike Tyson into cameo appearances in the movies.
Tiger Woods’ golf game just simply could not go unscathed from all the scandals, honestly…How could it?
Money, fame, family and a beautiful wife were all his once, but he messed up the whole thing anyway.
Other golfers, reporters and just about everybody else in the world always had accused Tiger for years of being a robotic-like human.
As it turns out – just as he’d said on many occasions before – Tiger is a regular guy like anyone of us.
Welcome back Tiger Goods…we miss you!

I feel bad for him on this one
Annie; I strongly believe that if his father was still around, Tiger would not gotten into so much trouble…The man was Rock!
