The plot for Bad Boys 5 should be pretty simple at this point. Following the success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, there is no doubt that another installment is on the way. But which direction should they go? That’s easy.
Judy let Mike’s son go since he saved her daughter’s life. Despite what he did to her father, there was some sort of resolution there. With Armondo on the run, maybe there will be a manhunt following him but we’ve been down this road before. He was chased in Bad Boys For Life, escaped prison in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, proved he could be counted on to do the right thing, and then sent back out into the wild. Now he can redeem himself in Bad Boys 5.
The movie has to start with Mike Lowrey being kidnapped. At this point, Marcus Burnett will have no choice but to contact Armondo to help his father. While their bond is not strong, the truth is still out there. Mike accepts that he’s Armondo’s father, however, Armondo has still not referred to Mike as his dad. We know he is, yet, we haven’t seen that special father/son moment between the two so far. Bad Boys 5 would change that.
Armondo may not have said the words, but his actions say differently. He’s had chances to leave under Mike and Marcus but he stuck around. He’s had chances to prove that he’s still the killer his mother made him out to be but he chose the other route. Now, with word that Mike is in trouble, Armondo will come and destroy everything in his path to help his dad. This is the movie fans want. Hell, even Reggie became a hero. It’s now time for Armondo to step into the limelight.
Will There Be A Bad Boys 5
As good as he was in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, he didn’t possess that same stone-cold killer mentality he had in Bad Boys For Life. That element was missing from the movie. Let’s bring that back.
While Mike is a central figure in Bad Boys and the majority of the action scenes are centered around him, maybe it’s time to let Marcus shine and fall back a bit on the comedic scenes. Martin Lawrence has shown he’s capable but with Will Smith being the top draw, Lawrence has played the background.
As for the storyline, Mike will not stay hostage for too long, just long enough for Marcus to get his mojo and Armondo to save the day. While Armondo and Marcus will spearhead the team, the addition of Dorn and Rita will provide the movie with more action scenes. And let’s forget the MVP of Bad Boys: Ride or Die. There is always a possibility that Reggie could join in on the fun. Think about that. Mike, Marcus, Armondo, Rita, Dorn, and Reggie. Now that has all the makings of a kick-ass team.
The villain would have to take the audience by surprise. But who gets the top spot of the bad guy? Who is bold enough to kidnap Mike Lowrey? Why not bring back Tea Leoni who starred alongside of Smith and Lawrence in the first Bad Boys movie?
She has not been mentioned since the original and would be the perfect surprise villain for Bad Boys 5. Someone fans won’t see coming. Just a few ideas to throw out for the next installment in the Bad Boys franchise.
