The Phoenix Suns are the only team in the NBA bubble to not lose a game. The Suns have won 5 games in a row for the first time since 2014.
- July 31st, Phoenix 125, Washington 112.
- August 2nd, Phoenix 117, Dallas 115.
- August 4th, Phoenix 115, Clippers 115.
- August 6th Phoenix 114, Indiana 99.
- August 8th Phoenix 119, Miami 112.
4 of the 5 teams they have defeated will be “tough outs” in the playoffs. In their 31 wins, the Suns are averaging over 120 points per game. Devin Booker is averaging 30 points and 5.6 assists per game since he arrived in Orlando and Deandre Ayton is average 18 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest. They have become a great 1-2 punch. Booker is 23-years-old and Ayton is 22. The Suns are young, but they are playing like experienced veterans.
Head Coach Monty Williams has his team believing and playing with a ton of confidence. They are getting tremendous production from point guard, Ricky Rubio and back-up Jevon Carter. The Suns and Blazers should meet in the play-in game and that will be “must watch TV.” The Suns are a team on the rise and I would not be surprised if they win 50 games next season.
There are two teams in the Western Conference that will be a nightmare matchup for any team, The Portland Trail Blazers and the Suns. They will probably be the “play-in” series matchup. For NBA fans, that will be must watch TV.
