The Patriots were humbled the other night after their loss to the Colts. They were on the top of the AFC and people were talking Super Bowl with Brady and the Buccaneers. Meanwhile, games still need to be played. The Patriots were coming off a bye just like the Colts were and the Patriots weren’t prepared. Mac Jones said they had a bad week of practice with low energy. Now, they battle the Bills on Sunday in Foxborough with the winner winning the AFC East.
The Buffalo Bills will be without wide receiver Cole Beasley for Sunday’s game. So, I’m sure if the Patriots do end up winning the night show on 985 The Sports Hub will call it a fake win because their top wide receiver was out due to COVID. Kendrick Bourne for the Patriots is also on the COVID-19 reserve list, but he is vaccinated and asymptomatic. Beasley is not vaccinated and will be out for 10 days. Advantage Patriots in that department. The Patriots should beat this Bills team, they are better than them. The Bills can’t stop the run.
Will Patriots Running Back Damien Harris Be Back For The Patriots On Sunday?
Hopefully Damien Harris will be back for this weekend. He was out last weekend with a hamstring injury. Mac Jones played great and showed mental toughness in the fourth quarter of the Colts game. I expect him to have a bounce back game and play great the entire game. He made some great throws and without the block kick, penalties, and turnovers, they win on Saturday night. As long as Jones doesn’t turn the ball over, and they play mistake free football they should win on Sunday. Put the Bills in their misery where they belong and piss off the night show on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
This game is the season for both teams. If New England were to lose, they could be out of the playoffs by the end of the season. If Buffalo losses, then their playoff hopes are dead. I don’t see the Patriots losing an important division game at home in December. Last year was different because they didn’t have a quarterback. This year they spent millions in free agency and drafted a quarterback in the first round. No excuse to lose this game on Sunday to the Bills. They have a full week of practice and should be ready to go.
What we know from past Bill Belichick teams is they rarely ever lose two in a row. With the exception of 2020 because of zero quarterback. They have a competent quarterback who is tough, humble, and tries to learn from mistakes quickly. That is the start of what makes a great leader even as a rookie. Leaders like Devin McCourty who had some remarks Saturday night after the loss knows that playing the way they did isn’t going to win them football games.
So, as they move forward to Sunday’s game which the winner of the game wins the AFC East will really tell what this Patriots team is made of. Because I want the media people who doubt this team and say Jones isn’t good to get pissed if the Patriots win because the team played well, and Jones had a great day. The Patriots should pretend they are 2-4 again with people doubting them, that is when they play at their best.
