The Patriots can beat bad team’s period. When Mac Jones and the Patriots went on that win streak against bad teams last October before the bye everyone bought in and said Bill Belichick found the next Tom Brady. Fast forward a year later and Bailey Zappe comes in and has two wins against bad teams and now he’s the next Tom Brady and Mac Jones is Drew Bledsoe. This is what the thinking is around here. Drew Bledsoe was in the league for a decade and threw Interception after interception. Mac Jones has played 20 games with the Patriots and were already benching him because Zappe beat the Lions and the Browns.
Patriots Mac Jones Should Be Ready to Play on Monday
Mac Jones isn’t the next Tom Brady, and neither is Zappe. Both have watched his film and have learned a lot from watching it, however, neither one of them will ever be Tom Brady. Let’s not forget the Patriots were about to beat the Packers when Patricia decided to be conservative in overtime and run the ball. All they needed was 20 yards. You get those yards with Mac at quarterback and win the game. You also beat the Lions and the Browns with Mac Jones at quarterback. No matter who starts on Monday they are beating the Bears also. They are like the Lions and the Browns just a different location.
Can we say that the Patriots have two quarterbacks that have the potential to grow in the organization? Mac Jones was established as a starter and grow with the team. Zappe also who just got playing time can clearly play in the NFL. Definitely a better backup than Brian Hoyer going forward. Also, when Mac comes back maybe run the play action more instead of the shotgun throw-it downfield calls for an interception. I think people need to relax this part of the schedule is very easy and should be wins. Bill Belichick spoke this week about the Bears and had a very lengthy opening statement.
When Bill talks on and on about a bad team you know it’ll probably be a blowout. I honestly think the game will be over by halftime.
