The New Week 10 Players Of The Week in College Football were not easy to select at Nuts And Bolts Sports. There were many outstanding performances as the college football regular season ends for NAIA, Division III, Division II and is rounding into the ‘home stretch’ for the FCS and FBS levels.
For many younger fans the term fullback conjures up images of short-yardage and goal-line situations. Their imaginings may mostly be of players who have a dozen or so touches in a season and live to block and get the rare dive play into the end-zone. But some of us remember that Jim Brown, Jim Taylor and Larry Csonka all made it to Canton as fullbacks. While he may never make the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Ben Sherman is likely to be remembered for many years at William Penn (Iowa) as he is the school’s record holder for career rushing yards (3,447) with 247 yard performance against Clarke, he took the record with a 92 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
